Price/Power (0/5)
At this point, this is a collectors item and little more. The price is high and due to the many items given out of late which are better the power is low.

Countermeasures (2/5)
The icons here are still decent on paper currently; if you need light blocking. Alternatively, you could take a Pretty Negg Shield and pair it with a higher damage attack item, or wait for the inevitable light blocking version of the Extra Loud Techo Fanatic Megaphone or Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife. It feels like percentage dual duties are the next big thing for TNT.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
This is basically a Stocking Full of Coal, which is a much cheaper version of this item. You could go for one of the better dual duties listed above, or change to a better light blocker.

Final Thoughts
This item was doomed to eventually reach obscurity based on ti being a RIC item alone.

Air Faerie Crown is a classic weapon that has failed to withstand to the test of time.

I remember using this alongside Mask of Coltzan back when 6 icon weaponry was the standard and this and the Mask were the go-to Dual Duties. (Okay, we didn't have many practical options for Dual Duties. :P) When I used this many years ago, I picked it up for 1.8 million, and it was well worth the cost. Air Faerie Crown takes a big bite out of the still-popular Ramtors Spellbook and Wand of Reality.

However, old TCG code prizes are becoming harder to come by, and for the amount of NP you would have to shell out to acquire one of these nowadays, chances are you would be better off with a stronger weapon like Altador Cup Throwing Star or Skarls Hasty Mace.

Amulet of Inevitable Betrayal, Jhudoras Cursed Sword, Stocking Full of Coal, and Dusty Magic Broom are all more easily attainable Light-blocking Dual Duty weapons.

Unfortunately this weapon is has become a relic of the past.

Ah... another one of those old favourites that unfortunately has become a sad spectre of its proud past, partly because of the new 9 iconer standard, and partly because of its unavailability in the Neopian shops.

Pure speaking on power alone, it is a decent weapon. A slight upgrade to the commonly equipped Golden Compass the light defence spells trouble for the light dominated NQ2 weapons like Ramtors Spellbook, Scuzzys Comb and Wand of Reality. In fact, back when NQ2 weapons were the rage, this was one of the go-to's of that era.

But with the current price hovering in the millions, it has relegated to gallery only status.

A more economically viable alternative would be Dusty Magic Broom which itself has lost a certain charm in its value.

*Great against: The icons are in small enough amounts to offer no significant advantage or disadvantage.

Beware if against: As above, although Pteris will eliminate slightly above one icon worth of air away.
