Price at Time of Rating: 14-20m; in flux and will update once settled

TLDR: This weapon is great if you’re specifically looking to add air defense to your set without compromising on attack power, and you’re willing to shell out over 10m for it. If your needs are not that specific yet, then see the Alternatives section.

Strengths:
15 icons of attack over three different icon types, plus a 75% defense against air icons (which don’t have a lot of other defense options) is a very strong combination for a dual-duty weapon!

Weaknesses:
Icon creep has made 15 icons of attack feel a tad weak, when 16-icon attackers like Void Blade can be bought for much cheaper than this. For daily 1P battling, dual duties are in a bit of an awkward spot due to defense being a lower priority in the current battledome. If you’re not using this to shield against an air-heavy attack, it won’t shine to its full potential.

Alternatives:
When it comes to pure utility, the existence of the far cheaper Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife is what prevents me from giving this weapon a higher rating. The Bowie Knife is a direct icon swap, but at the moment can be bought for well under 1m due to being an Advent Calendar prize. For your daily 1P battling, the Bowie Knife will suit your needs.

However, if you’re considering weapons at this price range, then you might be hoping to cover your bases for potential plot bosses or tougher 1P opponents. When it comes to blocking air icons, Shield of Faerieland would be a cheaper alternative -- it blocks 100%...

It is now multi-use; may Sloth have mercy on our souls.

Price/Power (4/5)
This was really hard to rate, I jumped between 3 and 5; on the one hand price wise it is a LOT more expensive than its only real competitor the Shield of Faerieland; on the other, its price has since ballooned to the original cost of the Shield of Faerieland, and this news may just send it higher. For now I picked the middle ground, because 15 icons + a % block is insane.

Countermeasures (5/5)
The actual blast is fairly high, 15 icons is a decent number of icons to be paired with this blocker.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Shield of Faerieland. Air blocking is expensive to be sure, and this is now one of the best options out there.

Other Points (1 Bonus)
Honestly, I had a gripe about this weapon and while it took almost a year to happen, it was made multiuse. It wasn't my gripe that did it, no, I am sure many people thought the same thing I did. But still. This is a huge change for them to make for the better.

Final Thoughts
Time to make some noise for real this time.
