Ratings - Dusty Magic Broom
Rating: | Overview: This is a rarity 99 dual duty weapon that dishes out 8 total icons of damage (5 earth & 3 light) while also blocking 5 light icons of damage. Breakdown: Unfortunately this item is a relic of the past, not holding much value in today’s 9-icon minimum battledome age. 8 icons of total damage of moderately easy to block icons can’t be justified for the high price tag (currently 500k+) & with the item only blocking a mere 5 icons of light damage, this item is better off left in your gallery. Bonus: I’m giving this item 1 bonus point for the simple fact that it’s a *useable* dual duty weapon. Conclusion: With the rarity 99 tag & astronomical price point for what it provides, I really can’t recommend this item be used for any situation. If you want a weapon that does more damage & costs only a couple hundred neopoints, grab a Scroll of Ultranova. You could also opt for the awesome price to power ratio weapon Turned Tooth if you don’t mind spending a little extra nps (still only a fraction of the price of the broom). If you want a vastly superior dual duty weapon that deals more damage & fully blocks all of a commonly used icon type, go with a Hanso Charisma Charm. Rated on January 30, 2020 |
Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) With an R99 price tag I just can't justify giving this any points for price/power. I mean it IS better then most other dual duties around but at this price? Eh. Countermeasures (2/5) Light is pretty decent- I mean it isn't great but at this level of bulk you could take down a few decent weapons like the Sun and Moon Chakram, Pike Pike, Flask of Liquid Fire or Scroll of Ultranova Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades IF you just need to block light- Parasol of Unfortunate Demise. Otherwise the best option is basically better in every way and cheaper... The Stocking Full of Coal is about half the price, does higher attack and is more likely to drop in price due to (slightly) lower rarity. Other Points (1 Deduction) Just get the alternative. Final Thoughts Unfortunately all the "magic" is simply just cleaning magic and you are left with a really expensive dual duty. Rated on March 28, 2015 |
Rating: | I'd like the description to be more like... "This is no ordinary dusty broom... its magically dusty!". In all seriousness, this used to be one of the high calibre mid-level weapons that was highly sought after because of the nice balance of attack and defence compacted into one highly unique household item (Say wha...? 0.o) The new 9-icon standard has stolen some thunder from this weapon, and with the the release and circulation of some pretty powerful shields (eg Parasol of Unfortunate Demise) ... well, Tinkerbell took back some of her dust. Still, I am personally not adverse to forking out the current minimum market price 600k for this one, depending entirely on how well it blends itself to the other weapons in my set. Not an expense for the thrifty, mind you. Here's to wishing for a Dusty Magic Dustpan! Power: 8/10 Price: 2/10 1-player: 4/10 2-player: 6/10 *Great against: None Beware if against: Ixi, Cybunny, Pteri (Species ability ratings subject to change pending the Battledome's full update) Rated on November 17, 2012 |
