Price/Power (4/5)
When it first came out it was far too expensive for the normal batter, though as time has went by it has slowly dropped to a reasonable point. While it will likely never have the same value of a Kiko Skull Pirate Hat, it still provides a very decent service.

Countermeasures (4/5)
This item, much like the Tower Shield, has came up a lot as an item suitable for blocking a huge array of different items. While it may be hard to completely destroy a weapon with this, it can cut it down. Given the increase in popularity of weapons which use a large spread of weak icons such as the brightvale scrolls, this item is just raising in usefulness.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Really this is top of class in the spread icon department. The next upgrade is perhaps the hidden tower level full blocking shields, which provide more oomph.

Final Thoughts
I wish this was an Obelisk plot prize instead of the trash we did get...

At the time of this review, Wanderers Cloak has been around for almost an entire year. Despite this fact, I feel that this cloak is still slightly underrated and unheard of.

Wanderers Cloak has a relatively low rarity of R97; combine that fact with its low popularity and this weapon has a respectable price tag of roughly 60k at the time of this review. Of course, a prime example of how easily prices can change would be the fellow Brightvale Armour Royal Blue Cape. Royal Blue Cape provides very similar defense but currently sports an absurd 400k+ price tag, based more on hype than merit. If Wanderers Cloak was to gain more popularity it could inflate as well, but its R97 is considerably lower than RBC's R98. The worst case scenario for Wanderers Cloak price may be about 200k, since R97 results in considerably more stocks than R98. At a price of 60k or a price 200k, Wanderers Cloak would be a respectable lower-level shield.

Moving on to the actual defense, Wanderers Cloak provides a significant amount of potential defense. Against opponents with 325+ Intelligence, this cloak offers 15 icons of defense, a huge number for a lower-level shield. At 15 icons of defense, Wanderers Cloak provides the heaviest defense prior to Hidden Tower shields. Against 1P opponents and 2P opponents with less than 325 Intelligence the cloak will only provide 12 icons of defense, but this number is still solid. Unlike many of the Brightvale Armours, Wanderers Cloak is still usable when the Intelligence-based requirement is not met.

The Earth defense will go from small to formidable when the Intelligence requirement is met, but what really helps...

Price/power (5/5): At the time of writing, this can be bought for less than 100k. Given this actually fits between the full armour-like shields and the HT-level shields, it's an extremely good deal, especially if your opponent has enough intelligence.

Tactical (3/5): Assuming that your opponent satisfies the requirements, this cloak offers a considerable amount of protection. However, you may find air and water defense to be somewhat lacking, since 2 icons isn't really enough to do much. Still, it blocks so many icon types that it just might be worthwhile. Think of it as a more powerful version of the Virtupets X-514 Super Shield.

Bonus (1/1): It's good to have a shield that blocks way more icons than you'd expect.

Closing remarks: Grab one before it gets expensive again. In the meantime, check out Leaf Shield, Sophies Magic Hat, Studded Leather Cuirass, Shiny Shoal Shell Shield, Blue Draping Cloak, and Royal Blue Cape.
