Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price(0/3): Completely worthless. Any neopoint spent on this item would be a waste. While the amount of neopoints isn't insane, it might as well be for this item. Power(0/5): The amount of icons this shield defends against is way too low, wasting a slot in today's battledome when you could attack more instead. Uniqueness(0/2): Most shields tend to defend icons in such low amounts that it's not worth it to use them over any weapon. This isn't the exception. Overall it's just your average underpowered, useless item. Nothing worth checking out here. Because of that its final rating is 0/10. Rating: | Royal Blue Cape is the most overrated low-budget shield available. The popularity of Royal Blue Cape has caused its price to spike high enough to make "low-budget" a debatable adjective for this shield. Due to a somewhat high R98 and a small quantity of this shield available on the Trading Post at any given time, this weapon is incredibly prone to fluctuations price. Over the past few months prior to this review, Royal Blue Cape has been priced anywhere from 150k to 500k, a very large range. Despite the rather high price of Royal Blue Cape, it only musters up 12 icons of defense. This is a reasonable amount of defensive icons, but at a price tag of 200k+, this amount is definitely less than what is desired. Considering weapons found on the Shop Wizard such as Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer, Scroll of Ultranova, Scroll of the Fool, and Scroll of Knowledge can inflict 9 to 11 icons, Royal Blue Cape needs to utilize most of its potential defense to be effective. The good news is that the wide assortment of Earth, Air, Fire and Light defense will almost certainly result in some icons being stopped. The bad news is that such a wide spread will mean that it will be difficult to utilize most or all of this weapons defense, which is necessary for it to be a worthwhile play. Royal Blue Cape will mangle Scroll of Ultranova, Golden Compass, Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, Ylanas Blaster, Bow of the Fire Faerie, and Solar Burrito.
