Price/Power (0/5)
Useless in 1P as it doesnt even have the additional icons due to the requirement of increased movement. Without that (and even to a certain extent with it) I am less than excited about this item.

Countermeasures (2/5)
I understand it does have some value in 2P- but for me and for 1P it really doesn't do much.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Honestly I'd rather get a percentage blocker or even the solid and more useable in 1P Leaf Shield instead.

Final Thoughts
I avoided rating this item for a long time because I am not a 2P battler- but- here we are. I honestly don't have many items left to rate at this point.

This weapon has a rather interesting set of requirements that must be fulfilled in order to gain the extra defense icons.

One requirement involves the user, the other involves the opponent. The opponent must have 20+ movement, meaning this cloak's extra defense can only be used in 2-Player, since 1-Player challengers have a null value of movement. The 400 Intel requirement is high, but not completely unreasonable. Even with the abundance of cheap books, the cost of getting 400 Intel will easily exceed the low price of this cloak. (Blue Draping Cloak is about 15k at the time of this review.)

User requirements aren't bad since the user has the control, but opponent stat requirements become tricky, since control is taken out of the user's hands. Luckily, most pets will have 20+ movement thanks to Coltzan's Shrine and Air/Earth Faerie Quests.

Against opponents where the extra defense is not enabled, this weapon is pitiful. 6 icons of defense is nothing. However, against opponents where the defense is enabled, this cloak offers a formidable 14 icons of defense. This shield can mangle a lot of popular lower-tier equipment like Throwing Cutlass, Geraptiku Attack Leaf, Sroom Fruit Potion, Dusty Magic Broom, Essence of Esophagor, Pike Pike, and Scroll of the Wise.

For pets with 400+ Intel, or pets that plan to read their way to 400+ Intel, Blue Draping Cloak is a very nice option for 2-Player. Currently it is much cheaper than other popular shields like Leaf Shield and Patched Magic Hat. Remember, this weapon's extra defense does not work in 1-Player or against pets with less than 20 Moveme...

Price/power (4/5): Its usual price makes one of the most cost-effective shields around, but unfortunately it's 2P only and more suited to non-beginners.

Tactical (4/5): Like other full armour alternatives, this covers a wide range of icons. However, unlike them, this does not block physical icons. You'll have to use an Altadorian Swordbreaker for that purpose--though this may actually be a good thing, depending on what you're up against.

Bonus (0/1): It would be nice if they required something about the opponent that 1P challengers could actually meet.

Closing remarks: If you don't do 1P battling, consider similar shields such as Sophies Magic Hat, Studded Leather Cuirass, and Shiny Shoal Shell Shield.
