Rating: | Price/Power (5/5) This and the Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy currently provide some of the best value for money in battledome weapons. It is not that far down from the anagram sword level of power much substantially cheaper. Countermeasures (3/5) The only side where this is let down is the fact that it is predictable. Due to the overabundance of both this and the aforementioned duck it is a lot more common to run into sets ready and willing to beat this. That being said, for 1P this thing runs like a dream. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Well you could always upgrade to one of the harder to block Anagram swords such as the Sword of Reif or Sword of Ari.. Another option is to downgrade to the Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy. Other Points (No Bonus) Final Thoughts Really a phenomenal weapon, I especially love the fact it is maraqua related. Rating: | Value 3/3: The best icons/cost you can get for an 18-icon weapon on the market today. Tactical 5/6: This weapon makes raw power available to battlers at a lower cost than what was previously standard. It doesn't get a full 6 due to the numerous options for blocking water in the battledome today. However, that's not a major problem in the 1p arena, where opponents are less likely to have a Faerie Tabards or U-bend of Great Justice. Other 1/1: This is an excellent weapon for a great price, and it picks up an extra point here because giving it 3 points for value isn't enough. That being said, it is now affected by the Bent Fork. Be aware that if your opponent does not easily block it in 2p play, they may be able to disable it for the rest of the battle. Conclusion: The price floor for 18-icon weapons has dropped, and that's a very good thing for most battlers trying to build a better set. Rated on October 4, 2013 |
Rating: | Power: 5/5 Starting at 8.5M this is the cheapest option available right now to get one of the ~18 iconers and provides a cheaper alternative to Sword of Tawre. Counters: 1/3 Faerie Tabard will completely annihilate it and U-Bend of Great Justice will get you into quite some trouble with this. Also there's {{Slipper Floor Potion}} which will reduce it to a very managable 5 physical icons. On the bright side the water will completely go through Ghostkershield and you'll still get ~8 icons through Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield. Uniqueness: 0/1 Nothing really special here, just yet another ~18 iconer. Bonus: 1/1 It's not an anagram sword! Rated on September 29, 2013 |
Rating: | At the time of its release, Kelpbeards Trident revolutionized the game. To this day, Kelpbeards Trident still serves an essential purpose in the Battledome meta game. At a price below 9M, Kelpbeards Trident is the cheapest Hidden Tower weapon featuring 16.25 to 24 offensive icons. For 1-Player battlers, this trident is a fantastic option. For most 1-Player battlers, Kelpbeards Trident serves as the final offensive weaponry upgrades, succeeding Skarls Hasty Mace. Most 1-Player battlers that have reached the point of Kelpbeards Trident will only make lateral moves, investing in the Anagram Swords. In terms of average-icon upgrades, the next steps up are much more expensive: Ghostkersword, Sword of White Lies, and Grapes of Wrath. For 2-Player battlers, Kelpbeards Trident can still come in handy. Although it gets annihilated by Faerie Tabard, U-Bend of Great Justice, and Slippery Floor Potion, this weapon can be just as useful as weapons of equal firepower when swapped around properly. Kelpbeards Trident will still slide through Ghostkershield, Pirate Captains Hat, Kings Lens, and other reflectors. Sword of Reif is oftentimes a more appealing option than Kelpbeards Trident, but as a result Fire countermeasures are more common as well. Additionally, the fact that Kelpbeards Trident sports 5 Physical icons means that when paired with an Anagram Sword, the paired weapons Physical icons will be able to break through a HT Shield's Physical defense at all times. (Ghostkershield, Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour, Faerie Tabard, Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, and Shield of Faerieland all feat... ▼ Read More ▼ |
Rating: | 1P 10/10: The cheapest HT level weapon that averages 18 icons. Other 18-iconers (Sword of Skardsen, Sword of Ari, or Sword of Thare) could be useful when battling challengers with water blockers, such as Chiazilla, Snow Faerie, Drenched, Snowager, and Donny; otherwise even having dual KBT would be fine. Next step up would be the 20-iconers Ghostkersword or Sword of White Lies, which are substantially more expensive. I very strongly recommend KBT as a primary attacker for HT level sets. 2P 6/10: Water is fully blocked by Faerie Tabard, Burrow, and Sink; it works well against Ghostkershield, Pirate Captains Hat, Craftsmans Lens, and Kings Lens. Its role would mostly be as a complementary weapon in a HT level set. Watch out for Bent Fork! Rated on January 20, 2013 |
