Ratings - Werelupe Claw Necklace
Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) Given at the time of writing you can get a Void Blade for much cheaper; and that chances are down the line we'll only see icon inflation get worse. I don't believe people need to spend time looking at this very dishonest item doesn't even reach the fairly unimpressive damage target it sets. Countermeasures (0/5) Not a bad spread, but bad in that it doesn't live up to modern standards. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Void Blade as stated above is cheaper and provides more icons. Other Points Final Thoughts Likely candidate for retirement. Rated on February 28, 2024 |
Rating: | At a Glance (2/3): Summon the spirit of the disgruntled werelupe from within this necklace, lashing out 4.6 icons of fire and darkness, 3 icons of earth, and 0.46-4.6 icons of physical damage. This has equal chance to deal damage from 12.66 to 16.8 total icons. In-Depth (2/4): This is an interesting weapon to use against shield and reflector users, even up in the Hidden Tower level (shouldn't be a surprise, as it is a HT weapon itself!). This rips through Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield (also shouldn't be surprising. Lupes > Chias trololol), and gets 4.6 icons through Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour, Faerie Tabard, and Ghostkershield. Don't even think about trying to use reflectors on this - they'll lose 1v1 every time due to the fact that the iconage is spread out across 4 different elements. Unfortunately, this will be countered by loads of dual duties. Portable Cloud cuts this down to 7.6 icons; Mask of Coltzan checks it, reducing it to ~7.13 icons on average; the new Fan of Swords counters it, never allowing it to go beyond 12.2 icons, while its downgrades, Rusty Pitchfork and Fearsome Gladius, comes really close to checking it. Even Rod of Dark Nova can counter it, of course with its innate healing taken into consideration. Not to mention, it can be simply outdamaged by Skarls Hasty Mace, Kelpbeards Trident, and the anagram swords, such as Sword of Thigl. And then theres Sophies Magic Hat, which counters this pretty hard, shutting down every element these claws use, leaving only a small chance to deal damage at all! This would make for a pretty unreliable constant. It would ... ▼ Read More ▼ |
Rating: | Overview: What was once a reasonable Hidden Tower staple, other additions have made it more or less obsolete. The Good: Relatively cheap for what it does, the icon quantity makes this not completely useless. The Bad: The icons are spread too thin to be viable in any kind of defensive match. Sophies Magic Hat completely destroys this, and Faerie Tabard, which is more common, beats a good portion of it. That being said, its worse quality is its consistency. Its mean icon quantity is 14.73, which means that either the mid-tier Stone Foam Finger or the entry-level Hidden Tower Skarls Hasty Mace can out-damage the necklace. The Ugly Truth: Definitely give this a pass unless you're a fan of obscure weaponry. Grab the Finger or Mace and you'll be better off. Rated on June 29, 2014 |
Rating: | 1P 3/10: Once considered the final stepping stone before upgrading to Sword of Skardsen, an average of 14.7 places it between the newer Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy and Skarls Hasty Mace. It might still be usable if you insist though. 2P 2/10: Sadly, this oldtimer is quickly outdamaged by most modern HT constants and shut down almost completely by Sophies Magic Hat. A tactical use would be to guarantee icons through defenses, but not even many icons would go throughfor this purpose you could consider something like [[Commemorative Battle Faerie Axe]]. I would not recommend this weapon for 2P. Rated on January 21, 2013 |
