Ratings - Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer
Rating:

This rating is to intentionally tank the average score for this beginner weapon, as it is now either outclassed by or more expensive than the current Beginner Recommended Constant Attackers. This weapon should not be considered unless it becomes cheaper than the weapons listed there. This rating does not take into account any use for this weapon in 2P leagues.

Value 3/3: 9 Icons for less than 100np? Yes.

Tactical 5/6: This is a top-notch 9-icon weapon for next to nothing. The earth and physical are unfortunately easy to block, but the air is tougher to fend off at lower tiers. This makes it by most dual-duties in this tier just fine, although the Scarab Ring will break even with it.

Other 0/1: Compared against other weapons in its class, this weapon had its time in the spotlight, but is currently being overshadowed by the Scroll of Ultranova and Scroll of Knowledge. Still a great option to keep around.

Conclusion: An excellent pickup weapon for new battlers.

Power/Price (5/5): This weapon is currently a prize in the battledome and it's price has been dropping extremely quickly. 9 icons for a price that ranges between 1-100np is unseen in the battledome. This weapon is very quickly becoming a staple for new battlers because it is currently the best bang for your buck.

Countermeasures (2/5): Although this weapon has a lot of raw power, the icon distribution is not as desirable. Shiny Shoal Shell Shield pretty much destroys this weapon, the Leaf Shield eats 2/3 of this weapons attack. Aside from that, other shields generally block less icons. It's important to note that this weapon is expected at a beginner level of battling and opponents may prepare their sets to counter this weapon. Make sure you pair this with a weapon that attacks with a different distribution of icons.

Bonus (1/1): Most times you can get this for free, I just managed to buy one for 1NP. 9 icons for 1NP (or free) is the best bang for your buck out there.

In 1-player fights, this weapon shines. The raw power it has for the price is unmatched. This weapons weakness, icon distribution, is not as important in 1-player battles.
In 2-player fights, the icon distribution makes this weapon lose a few points in 2-player battles but when paired with another weapon which offers a different icon distribution, it can cause serious damage for a low price.

Alternative: Rainbow Scroll
Downgrade: Festive Holiday Scroll
Upgrade: Scroll of the Scholar, Scroll of Knowledge

This is an absolutely fantastic weapon for the price. Its price is now under 1000NP, largely thanks to being a prize item in the new Battledome.

9 Icons for under 1000NP is a steal. Any cash-strapped newcomer should pick one or two of these up; Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer's power will allow for easy beat-downs of weaker 1-Player challengers. The cheapness of this weapon is a true game-changer; absolutely anyone can pick up battling now without too much of an initial investment.

In 2-Player this item is to be expected, thanks to its popularity. There are a number of defensive items to cut down the hammer's attack, including Leaf Shield, Scarab Ring, Icy Magic Hat, and Yooyuball Goalie Armour. Nonetheless, the price and power of this weapon still make it a viable option for entry-level 2-Player fights; Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer users should just remember to diversify their offense with weapons utilizing other icon types. Electro Sword is a dirt-cheap weapon that could be paired with the hammer.

Thanks to the low price and respectable power of Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer, I highly recommend this item for anyone new to the Battledome.

Price/Power (5/5)
9 Icons for this cheap is amazing in 1P. While you can do better, this is certainly much cheaper then the days of the Ice Club and Stone Club.

Countermeasures (3/5)
Now there are so many other options when it comes to this level of battling, there is less likelihood to catch someone who can obliterate this using a Shiny Shoal Shell Shield. The more different options there are around, the better of a choice this weapon becomes if you don't feel like spending the extra on a few more icons.

Alternatives, Upgrades or Downgrades
Look out for other abnormally cheap deals such as the upgraded Scroll of the Scholar, or if you wish to pay a little more the Scroll of Knowledge.

Final Thoughts
Icon inflation is now a huge thing, in no small part due to this weapon.
