While 9 icons is around the point in which some items become useful, now that this has dropped dramatically in price it is a clear option for use.

Countermeasures (3/5)
The fact that it is mostly physical, means in 2p it is easily blocked by common and awesome items such as the Altadorian Swordbreaker or Winged Scarab. In 1p, this item may work as a good way to avoid reflectors

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
You can either pick a higher icon constant such as a Scroll of the Scholar or Throwing Cutlass, or move to a different bulk icon attacker with a better icon type such as the Skeletal Fire Gun.

Some of these brightvale scrolls have been really epic of late, now the price is better this one adds in too

Price/power (0/5): Very, very expensive for a 9-iconer. R98 means it probably won't every get cheap enough to be viable, unless a large number gets released for some reason (e.g. through the Wheel of Knowledge).

Tactical (1/5): Generally speaking, physical icons are easy to block. This scroll is highly vulnerable to the once-essential Winged Scarab. The Altadorian Swordbreaker will also come out on top against this. Quite a few good shields such as the Shiny Shoal Shell Shield and Studded Leather Cuirass reduce this to 3 physical icons. Still, it's hard to fully block without a full physical blocker.

Bonus (0/1): Weapons associated with the Battle Faerie are generally subpar and expensive. This one is no exception.

Closing remarks: Get a Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer for a tiny fraction of the price. A Throwing Cutlass may also be viable. As far as scrolls go, you can get a Scroll of the Scholar, Scroll of the Fool, or even a Scroll of Knowledge. At the time of writing, you can get all three and still have plenty of NP left over.
