Ratings - Pumpkin Stick
Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price(0/3): Way, way more expensive than it's worth. You could easily buy way more useful battledome items with the amount of neopoints this one costs. Power(0/5): The amount of icons this weapon does is too low for today's battledome. There's not much else that can be said about this weapon beyond how underwhelming it is. It doesn't do anything special at all while the amount of icons it deals is pathetic. Uniqueness(0/2): Sadly, most weapons tend to be rather underpowered or bland, be it because of lower than average icon count, easy to block icon types, or just oversaturation. This isn't the exception. Overall it's just your average underpowered, useless item. Nothing worth checking out here. Of course, it was better back then, but not for the current battledome. Because of that its final rating is 0/10. I can't give a rating of 0 however, so it gets a shameful 1 instead. Rated on August 31, 2021 |
Rating: | This obviously has pretty much no place in the current battledome as the price is outrageous and it's quite underpowered. There are pure light alternatives which are stronger of course cheaper. So it has no use in today's battledome unlike 15 years ago. However, this was once upon a time an item not only special to me, but also unique in the battledome. Light was a rare icon, neither expected nor blocked easily, and having a weapon that could do pure light would overwhelm shields and not be prepped for easily. This was also a very rare item, and underappreciated. It was also crucial to understanding the value of pure vs fractional icons... This deserves it's place in the history of the battledome, even if now it's a relic of the past. Lastly, it is a fairly cool looking item. Rated on September 27, 2017 |
Rating: | Price/power (0/5): It's a Lenny Conundrum prize, so it'll be very, very expensive. Tactical (0/5): 8 icons isn't really enough even at lower levels, and while the mass light is useful, it's easily blocked by the Parasol of Unfortunate Demise. Not to mention that you should be looking at HT-level weapons or better if you have the NP for this. Bonus (1/1): Because I can't give it a 0. Closing remarks: Get a Scroll of Ultranova instead. If you have the NP, get a Sword of Thigl. Rated on April 30, 2015 |
Rating: | Overview: Mono-icon weapons are cool, but this thing is too expensive and weak to be viable in combat. The Good: Eight light icons is pretty cool. The Bad: So let's ignore the fact that Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, Parasol of Unfortunate Demise, Pirate Captains Hat, and Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour all exist. Even if those weapons weren't in heavy circulation, there's still better variants of big-light weapons like Sword of Thigl and Kaylas Hat that are much better battling options. The Ugly Truth: The Pumpkin Stick is fun in theory, but when its investigated it really doesn't shine. Rated on August 31, 2014 |
Rating: | Price/Power (1/5) Light isn't the sort of icon type you wish to be using now days... That said 8 icons of one type of icon isn't useless. This is talking in such a way that makes the item useless due to the icon type, but no. It is also useless due to the insane cost trying to find a retired LC prize item. Countermeasures (0/5) Light is easy to block. Not only is it easily blocked by a couple of decent items such as the Stocking Full of Coal and Golden Garfir Helm, but then you also have the insanely cheap 100% blocking Parasol of Unfortunate Demise to worry about, along with several hidden tower level items. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades If you want a light based attack get either a Energy Blaster or Hanso Charisma Charm. Other Points Final Thoughts No. Gallery item only. Rated on April 12, 2014 |
