Rating: Rating History ▼ | Price/Power (5/5) The anagram swords offer some amazing value for money and the next steps up start to get particularly more expensive. Countermeasures (2/5) While the Sword of Thigl is much CHEAPER to block, this sword is more likely to be blocked. The Hanso Charisma Charm is a set staple for a lot of people so is more likely to be blocked. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades The other anagram swords naturally, if you want you can also save a bit of money by buying the Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy or Kelpbeards Trident instead. Other Points (2 Reduction) In terms of pure power it is still good, but it is laughable how easy it is to deal with darkness these days. Final Thoughts An outdated classic - that won't be any better now the most hilarious condition of the charm literally plummeting in price alongside the new tablet. Rated on September 29, 2013. Rating: | 1P 8/10: A longtime beloved weapon, SoS is the 2nd cheapest weapon averaging 18 icons. It would do well as an alternative to Kelpbeards Trident against challengers with water blockers, and is worth considering as the 2nd attacker for HT level sets (as opposed to a 2nd KBT or more expensive anagrams).2P 8/10: While Dark is the most effectively blocked icon to block due to Hanso Charisma Charm, SoS still packs its punch in 2P situations, cutting through Faerie Tabard, Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, Pirate Captains Hat, Craftsmans Lens and burrow, while being unaffected by most species resistances. Rating: | Sword of Skardsen is a classic weapon that has experienced variable amounts of usefulness over the course of its existence. Ghostkershield has long been Sword of Skardsen's worst enemy, rendering it to being associated with only 1-Player battling, where icon types are not as important. With the retirement of Ghostkersword and the release of Pirate Captains Cutlass, Sword of Skardsen was easily the cheapest big sword available, and so it was the sensible choice for 1-Player battlers. Later on, the release of Ring of the Lost made full Dark defense even more common, further discouraging Sword of Skarden's use in 2-Player, and then Kelpbeards Trident came along, dealing the same amount of icons as Sword of Skardsen, but for a lower price tag. Finally, something nice happened to Sword of Skardsen; it got an entire family of Anagram Sword counterparts. The release of the Anagram family helped dissolve the idea of good icon types and bad icon types, (There are still better and worse icon types, but not to the extent as in the past.) and made Sword of Skardsen just one of many mono-icon attackers. In 1-Player, Sword of Skardsen is the second cheapest 16.25 to 24 icon weapon, behind Kelpbeards Trident, making it a cost efficient secondary weapon to the Trident. Since a few 1-Player challengers have heavier Water defense than others, a combination of Kelpbeards Trident and Sword of Skardsen is more versatile compared to Kelpbeards Trident x2.
