Overview:
This weapon was the first 100% freezer I personally got. I didn't want to deal with having to scour the Trading Post for another option, so just being able to waltz over to the Hidden Tower and pick one up felt the most appealing to me. Let this review, above all else, serve as a lesson to not be lazy like I was.

Accessibility: 0/4
This is far more expensive than any other plain 100% freezer, particularly so for the Freezing Potion. It doesn't offer anything to make it even worth pretending to consider this over the potion.

Viability: 2/5
Yes, yes, a 100% freezer is always viable, but when it's as expensive as this, I'd have to compare it to the more expensive 100% freezers, of which, this isn't anywhere near as good as it should be for this price.

Alternatives:
Just get the Freezing Potion. Maybe the Entangling Lenny Lasso, but the potion is so cheap that I don't think the lasso is worth it anymore. If you're on the budget to buy this, might as well go the extra mile and get the Thunder Sticks.

Bonus points:
None provided.

Final notes:
You'd have to lose your marbles to use these marbles.

This rating is to intentionally tank the average score for this freezer, as it is a downgrade from the now more affordable Sleep Ray (100% freeze plus 4 icons of damage). This freezer should not be considered unless it ever becomes cheaper than Sleep Ray.

Price/Power (3/5)
Due to being in the tower, this item is single-handily holding back the price of every other healer and that is a good thing.

Countermeasures (5/5)
A 100% freeze is a must in the battledome, but don't expect to get through the 3 extra items often if ever.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
You could simply get a h4000 Helmet or downgrade/upgrade to the multiuse Slumberberry Potion.

Other Points

Final Thoughts
I wonder what will happen to freeze prices if this ever retires.

Power: 5/5
Here goes the most readily available 100% freezer out there. Offering a decent offense with 1 more icon in exchange for dealing physical instead of water when compared to Freezing Potion this does slightly better than H4000 Helmet and is probably the goto option when it comes to picking a freezer.

Counters: 2/3
While the physical offense isn't much and it's blocked by all common HT level shields and even Fan of Swords it'll stack with anagram swords and Kelpbeards Trident to overcome that defense, so if you pair this with some offense you'll probably get it through unharmed.

However unlike Heavy Blue Tunic there's no way this can bypass the immunity granted by Clawed Shield and Rainbow Swirly Thing so you should be aware of possibly getting this blocked.

Uniqueness: 0/1
Nothing really special about the marbles, they're just one of the many solid freezer options.

Bonus: 1/1
They're magical... and so mysterious... makes you really wonder where those marbles came from.

Magical Marbles of Mystery serves the important role of anchoring the price of 100% freezers. Ever since being added to the Hidden Tower, the price of 100% freezes has held almost constant.

Magical Marbles of Mystery costs several hundred thousand Neopoints more than fellow freezers Freezing Potion and H4000 Helmet. For this premium charge, Magical Marbles of Mystery provides one extra icon over Freezing Potion. The cost of this extra icon for a Once Per Battle item is rather high.

Both the Water icons of Freezing Potion and the Physical icons of Magical Marbles of Mystery are equally stoppable. The difference between the two is minute and unlikely to change the tide of a battle. For the slight savings, I prefer Freezing Potion, but battlers cannot go wrong with either weapon. I rate Magical Marbles of Mystery just below Freezing Potion based on price alone.

Price/power (5/5): This is a Hidden Tower weapon. Its price is therefore constant and it prevents equivalent weapons from inflating. Simply put, it is THE benchmark for whether a freezer's worthwhile or not.

Tactical (5/5): It's a 100% freezer that doesn't break. You'll never be forced to replace this. Remember, you're not using it for the attacking icons. You're using it to freeze your opponent solid.

Bonus (0/1): Can't really give this an 11.

Closing remarks: Alternatives include the classic H4000 Helmet and the Freezing Potion. If your species has a 100% freezer, get that because it's likely to be much cheaper than any of the 3 all-species ones.
