Slumberberry Potion is a unique weapon, dealing 10 Water icons and possessing a 1/6 chance of Freezing. Here is the unusual part: it is Multiple Use, even after Freezing. Because of its unique nature, I am going to break this review down into two distinct sections for 1-Player and 2-Player.

2-Player: I'm starting with 2-Player because this will be quick and simple. Slumberberry Potion and other Multi-Freezers are only useful for gargantuan-sized pets in 2-Player. Slumberberry Potion is no different from Black Frost Cannon or Randomly Firing Freeze Ray in this regard; chance Freezers have no place in standard League battling. The odds are against those attempting to participate without a reliable freezer. The lone exception would be pets with Health Points so high that Multiple Use weapons like Wand of the Dark Faerie and Illusens Staff can heal more than any reasonable amount of damage in a single turn. This means that Multi-Freezers like Slumberberry Potion would be necessary for consecutive Freezes to prevent this healing. Next to nobody actually fits into this category though, so simply put: don't use Slumberberry Potion in 2-Player.

1-Player: Slumberberry Potion is useful in this section of the Battledome. Ice Dice is the other mentionable Multi-Freezer, and while it has a higher chance of Freezing, it costs much, much more due to rarity. Sword of Lameness offer a Multi-Heal/Freeze combo, but it also costs a bit more than Slumberberry Potion and its chance of Freeze is only 1/8. (Sword of Lameness is useful; I'm just pointing out that its Freeze rate is lower here.)

So how can Slumberberry Potion be utilized? For starters, it could be used for Defenders of Neopia, where it may be in a users best interest to Freeze a particularly tough opponent multiple times.

The other possible use of Slumberberry Potion would be to "grind" through long battles over and over. If a 1-Player challenger can be frozen multiple times, the battle will go quicker, right? Not exactly. For players that would be using 2 Kelpbeards Tridents (or stronger weapons), using a Slumberberry Potion in place of the second weapon would actually lower their overall damage per turn. Some players forget that using Slumberberry Potion every turn will stop them from using a stronger weapon in its place.

Slumberberry Potion is better suited for battles where HP preservation and defense is important. If a battler is unable to Berserk Attack away for the sake of their HP, using Slumberberry Potion and a shield like Faerie Tabard could minimize damage taken and allow for strong bursts of damage when the opponent is frozen.

My advice on Slumberberry Potion is to do some math work before going out and buying this weapon. It can be useful for some battlers, but this weapon is not for everyone. The 6/10 rating for this weapon reflects that this is a solid option for some and a not so good option for others. Just think before you buy. :) Weapons like Hubrids Puzzle Box and Sword of Lameness are other weapons that fit into the category of endurance fights.
