Price/Power (3/5)
It offers a very nice block- that is really the only reason you want it. It doesn't offer much in the way of attack or defense. Overall I find the package rather average in terms of what it offers.

Countermeasures (3/5)
100% is good, especially when many high rarity weapons use primarily earth based attacks; but that's it. You are giving up your ability to attack in the round to use this.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
The main alternative to this on paper is the Illusens Silver Shield, which at one point was more expensive than this, now just seems like the better option. Until you notice that by sacrificing a little of your defense you could go for the Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife which while only offering 75% defense does come with a sizable punch or the Pretty Negg Shield- which offers a 80% defense, with 20% being reflection damage. Overall this item seems outdated unfortunately.

Other Points (1 Penalty)
While writing the above paragraph I convinced myself I had rated it too kindly, so I figured I would remove a point. Imagine I just shaved .5 off each or something.

Final Thoughts
Nothing will shield this item from this bad review- unless Macosten picks a really weird hill to die on by standing up for an item for no reason other than just to prove me wrong.

Price at Time of Rating: 6m

This shield can be found in the Hidden Tower for 6m (or a little less on Discount Day).

Strengths:
The main draw of this shield is its 100% earth defense. Although there are a few other affordable shields that can also block all earth icons, this one boasts the most additional attack icons, which I see as a priority over having additional defense.

Alternatives:
Illusens Silver Shield can likely be bought for cheaper, though it doesn't include the three attack icons.

Pirate Captains Hat is also in the Hidden Tower for cheaper, and comes with an additional 100% light defense plus 5 icons of fire defense. However, it is semi-fragile so it has a chance of breaking for the rest of the battle.

If you want to upgrade to reflecting earth instead, then consider the much more expensive Ultra Dual Shovel.

Some other 100% earth blockers with more attack icons are Greater Staff of the Earth Faerie and Earth Scarab, but these are likely too expensive to be worth it.

Notes:
It'd be neat if there were more anagram shields to pair with the anagram swords :)

At a Glance (2/3):
Fully blocks earth damage plus it blocks 3 light and dishes out a incredible 2.4 dark icons!

In-Depth (2/4):
This is a reliable shield for all of your massive-earth defending needs. Unfortunately, outside of that, I don't exactly see any merit. Sure, it attacks... sure it also defends 3 light, but I can't take either one seriously enough. Therefore, in my mind, it's a standalone full blocker, which I find unfavorable to use because it doesn't punish your opponent. It's like a slap in the wrist.

Price (1/2):
~5.2m for a full earth blocker. Not too shabby. Illusens Silver Shield is a downgrade that is ~3m(?) cheaper; for shorter battles, Pirate Captains Hat is a good alternative going for less than 4m I think; and Ultra Dual Shovel costs a whopping 17m (but it's a worthwhile upgrade). Shovel Plus, however, costs a measly ~30k or so.

Bonus (1/1):
While we now have a collection of anagram SWORDS, we only have this one, measly "anagram shield"...

Final Score: 6/10
