This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use.

Price(0/3): Way, way more expensive than it's worth. You could easily buy way more useful battledome items with the amount of neopoints this one costs.
Power(0/5): The amount of icons this weapon does is too low for today's battledome. Even at its best it wouldn't be able to deal enough damage, making it completely worthless since your opponent would out-damage you every time. Icon types don't really matter when the damage output is this low, so even if it had the best icon types this would be useless. To makes things worse this weapon has fractioned icons, so it wouldn't even do the damage you'd think it does at first glance. while it barely defends against any icons, defeating the purpose of a dual duty. It'd be better to focus on either attack or defence instead of splitting total icons like this.
Uniqueness(0/2): Dual duties should compromise a bit of attacking power for extra defence or the other way around. This, like many others, is just underpowered.

Overall it's just your average underpowered, useless item. Nothing worth checking out here. The fact that it's a retired hidden tower item just makes its price/power ratio worse. Because of that its final rating is 0/10. I can't give a rating of 0 however, so it gets a shameful 1 instead.

Overview: Smash your opponent over the head with this the words make sense!

The Good: As an older weapon it almost makes sense. I could see a lot of usefulness out of 5-8 icons of offense and 5 icons of defense.

The Bad: It's too expensive and too weak. Retired hidden tower items are seldom worth their cost, and this book is no exclusion. The dark defense can't come close to handling a Sword of Skardsen, like a Ring of the Lost or Hanso Charisma Charm can.

The Ugly Truth: Grimoire of Thade is a relic of the old Hidden Tower. It doesn't fit into the new-age Battledome very well.

Price/Power (0/5)
This is another retired item from the hidden tower so naturally it costs a lot more no matter how good or bad it is. In this case this weapon provides a horribly weak blast of dark, so no. not good at all.

Countermeasures (0/5)
Dark blocking is much more common as people are using dark much less so the actual use of this weapon has already been degraded far below what it once was.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
The Hanso Charisma Charm provides a much better darkness block and much more damage. If you want the attack, at least get a Sword of Skardsen which is a much more solid dark attack then this. Realistically, a Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy would be a better option as it is much cheaper and provides a slightly better icon type.

Other Points (1 Bonus)
Retired hidden tower item, so a good gallery item if nothing else.

Final Thoughts
Taken out of the tower thanks to the three avatars they added as an NP sink. Depressing really.
