Ratings - Attack Fork

Overview: I often like to pick on other weapons by making fun of the fact that they can be beaten by the Attack Fork. Let us go into the reasons why this is bad.

The Good: Nostalgia. I'm sure other veteran battlers can remember when Attack Fork and Grand Lightning Beam were a battler's go-to weapons.

The Bad: There are a few problems with the attack fork that prevent it from being viable in the Battledome. For this I'm going to go to everyone's favorite segment: LIST TIME! SO here we go, Reasons the Attack Fork is bad:
  • Icon quantity. Attack Fork can't even bother to attack with a full 5 icons. This fork literally has "attack" in its name, and it has one pathetically weak attack.
  • Icon Type. As if only attacking with 4.667 icons wasn't bad enough, those are spread among three icon types, because apparently if you can't do many icons, you should do many types.
  • Weakest Dual-Duty Ever. I don't even know why TNT bothered to throw in the bonus defense icon. I mean, I guess it's helpful, except for the fact that it's one stinking icon.
The Ugly Truth: In case anyone's still confused at this point, the Attack Fork is a poor choice in weaponry. Please don't get it.

Price/Power (0/5)
An item of this level hasn't been useful since the advent of the Scarab Ring. Add in the fact that it is fractional and you have the recipe for one underwhelming weapon.

Countermeasures (0/5)
Rather easy to block even though it offers very similar icon attack then a Scarab Ring. Not really worth much of a thought.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
This is a direct downgrade to the Scarab Ring which provides a natural upgrade. Stick to at least this or move to something a bit more hard hitting like a Scroll of Knowledge

Other Points (1 Bonus)
Because a 0 rating isn't allowed and even if it was, the art is semi decent.

Final Thoughts
The brain tree can't be that smart to have even had this weapon in the first place.

Price/power (0/5): This is a relic from the 6-icon era, and even then it was a beginner's weapon.

Tactical (1/5): Icon types aren't bad, but it's fractional. Having a spread over 3 types also increases the chances of this getting blocked. 1 icon of defense is negligible. Not to mention that there just aren't enough icons for it to be worthwhile.

Bonus (0/1): Maybe there's a reason why the Brain Tree donated this: because he finds it useless.

Closing remarks: For a good dual duty with the same icon types, get a Scarab Ring. Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer is another great choice. Upgrade to a Scroll of Knowledge when you can.
