Price/Power (0/5)
About when this came out was the high period for the Scarab Ring- a crazy popular 12 icon dual duty which just blew most of the competition out of the water. On the attack side- it may have been seen as this possibly being a step up- but- the extra two icons was not much when compared to the (albeit much more costly) Ice Club and Stone Club. In the current battledome climate even those items are useless- which should show you why regardless of its incredibly cheap price tag the Obsidian Dagger is now relegated to the halls of history.

Countermeasures (0/5)
Yeah, you can likely expect what I would say here.

Alternatives, Upgrades or Downgrades
Just get a Rusty Pitchfork instead. That's is crazy for these icons.

Final Thoughts
Chip away at a random stone and you may just find yourself a battledome item as terrible as this.

Price/power (1/5): About the price of a Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer, except it's weaker.

Tactical (1/5): Icons aren't so easy to block at this level. However, the aforementioned hammer outdamages it.

Bonus (1/1): This used to be pretty decent back when it was first released.

Closing remarks: Get a Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer or a Scroll of Ultranova instead.

Overview: For many the Obsidian Dagger is the first weapon they'll come across. It's not terribly strong, but for nearly free, it's not the worst weapon in the world either.

The Good: When it hits its max, the Obsidian Dagger is actually quite nice. Something about fire and physical together gets me excited about this weapon.

The Bad: Unfortunately, the Dagger doesn't hit its max all the time. Some of the time it'll only hit for 5.3, which is much too weak to be viable long term or short term. In this case the other cheap weapons like Scroll of Ultranova and Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer would be much better options.

The Ugly Truth: The Obsidian Dagger isn't consistent enough to be used full time. For a low cost, the Gold Handled Katana is a more-consistent version, but that still falls short of cheap 9 and 10 iconers like the Scroll of Ultranova or Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer, both of which usually cost 10np or less.
