Power (1/4):
Not bad in its own merit, but certainly not good enough to be an outright recommendation when better items exist.

Price (1/4):
Being inflation-proof via Hidden Tower is always nice but, realistically, unless other 100% dark blockers suddenly vanish from existence, there's no real reason to buy this.

Other (1/2):
This item has a niche in L97 where its dark-blocking brethren are disallowed for being dual duties. The defensive profile of the other icons is also good enough as it stops things like Hobans Hat, Stocking Full of Coal, or Morguss Twisted Wand in their tracks.

Alternatives:
Hanso Charisma Charm is dirt cheap at the time of writing. Once you can or want to upgrade, look for The Mystical Tablet

Price/Power (3/5)
Once awesome due to its great ability to knock out a Sword of Skardsen, this shield has fallen on hard times when you consider the uprising of the Hanso Charisma Charm. When compared price wise it also doesn't add up, nor is there much reason to have this over one of the other Hidden Tower level blockers.

Countermeasures (3/5)
Two nails went into this weapon which ruined it in my eyes, while it is still good in theory the added choice of anagram swords beyond the Sword of Skardsen, and the Hanso Charisma Charm lowering the number of people using darkness attacks has totally ruined the power of this shield. While it can still take down the brunt of some weapons, the chance of running into those have dramatically reduced.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Realistically if I was in the market for a HT level blocker right now I would go for a Faerie Tabard or if I wanted to block darkness a Hanso Charisma Charm would be much better for the cost.

Final Thoughts
A serious of unfortunate events reduced this otherwise awesome shield to the level of mediocrity.
