Ratings - Cursed Wand of Shadow
Rating:

This weapon is a Central Arena prize in the new Battledome, meaning it is cheap due the amount of them being released. That is all Cursed Wand of Shadow has going for it. 6 icons is typically not enough, even for a beginner weapon in today's Battledome. Weapons dealing 8 or 9 icons like Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer, Throwing Cutlass, and Electro Sword cost less than 1,000NP, allowing all players to do more than 6 icons.

Dark and Earth icons can also be attained in a single weapon at a low price without the undesirable Physical icons Cursed Wand of Shadow possesses. Tomato Spitter and Bone Sceptre offer a better third icon with the Dark and Earth icons, and both cost under 1,000NP.

Cursed Wand of Shadow is on the weaker side, and its icon structure is nothing special, meaning this weapon can be skipped over.

Price/Power (1/5)
Six icons is now less relevant than it ever was.

Countermeasures (1/5)
Easy to cut a couple of icons off, but in general a little hard to beat. The best countermeasure against this seems to be the virtupets X-514 super shield which will almost always block this entirely.

Alternatives, Upgrades or Downgrades
Sacrificing dark for air and upping the damage output, the Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer may be a good upgrade for this, but shop around as there are a lot of cheap weapons on the market these days.

Other Points (1 Bonus)
It looks REALLY shiny.

Final Thoughts
A nice gallery item, the art style is really nice... but the power does not live up to this.
