Rating: | Power (3/4): A good, honest weapon for beginners. The defensive profile is the cherry on top, but 14 icons is nothing to scoff at. Price (3/4): I am hoping that these crash eventually since they're tied to a daily (admittedly, with a broad prize pool, though). If you can snag one for free and you just started in the dome, that's great! Other (0/2): TNT has stepped up with the weapon art recently. I love to see that! Alternatives: Anything from our beginner recommended weapons should suffice. Namely, look for Void Needle as it shares the same amount of attacking icons, and attack is more important than defense when it comes to weapons for beginners, generally speaking. Rating: | Overview: These haunting spirits will accompany you if you're lucky enough to catch their attention at the Haunted Woods Hunt. Considering all the other weapons you can get from there are a bunch of garbage, often literally, it's quite surprising that this one is... actually pretty good! Accessibility: 3/4 As of now, this often runs for the millions, but considering it's given out by a daily that gives you at least four items a day, I expect it to go down a good bit sooner or later. Viability: 5/5 14 icons is pretty much right on the money for a good attacker, and the eight icons of Earth defense is fantastic as well. Air and Fire are also fairly hard to block for 1P opponents, which is a nice boost for it! Alternatives: If I'm completely wrong in my guess that it'll go down in price, you might wanna pick up the Void Needle instead. Bonus points: -1 This weapon is considered a "usable" item, meaning you can select "use on [pet]" instead of equipping it. Doing so will do nothing but make the item vanish. I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but be very careful when trying to equip this to a pet. You might wanna equip it from the Battledome pet stats screen instead. Final notes: Surprised, pleasantly, that this isn't a Varwolf exclusive item. I think we're past the days of species restrictions, for the better. Rated on May 30, 2026 |

Rating: | Price/Power (3/5) Wow, 14 icons of attack AND an actually decent hunk of earth defense? The price will likely come down over time as more are released from the daily- but this is a surprisingly decent item. I'd likely raise this number slightly if it goes cheaper- Countermeasures (5/5) Honestly, 14 solid icons of attack beats most simple shields, percentage shields obviously can still stop things for you; but its not bad. Additionally while 8 icons isn't enough for certain super high end items, it would block a decent hunk. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades This to me would be on a similar level to the Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife if it just had the percentage defense. You could also look into a Void Blade which does slightly more attack for less defense. But overall it is another solid weapon at this level, especially as prices should drop over time.
