The amount of icons blocked is almost respectable, but not at this price and certainly not with that huge INT requirement.

Countermeasures (1/5)
This does block a large amount of darkness- however what exactly is the point of that? Ever since the Hanso Charisma Charm using darkness has been an impractical idea. Add in the fact that most weapons use a larger spread of icons these days and you have an item not worth the hassle.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Just get the Kiko Skull Pirate Hat instead. It defends more overall and does not require the additional intelligence.

Other Points

Final Thoughts
This item would be much better as a wearable. I don't say that lightly.
