This would have been a lot better a few years ago; as it stands the battledome has moved beyond this. That being said, the price will be so incredibly low it may have some niche uses somewhere.

Honestly we are living in an age where an item like Grapes of Wrath can be freely given out for doing nothing besides clicking on blotches of darkness.

It's basically free due to how frequently it drops as a prize from The Void Within battles, so it can be a decent dual-duty weapon for brand new users. Fifteen total effective icons is not bad, but this is weighted more towards defense rather than attack (which would be more preferable). You'll likely outgrow this quickly in favor of beginner weapons that pack a stronger punch, as listed in the Beginner Recommended Weapons.
