Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price(0/3): Completely worthless. Any neopoint spent on this item would be a waste, so it doesn't matter if it were dirt-cheap. Power(0/5): The amount of icons this weapon does is too low for today's battledome. Even at its best it wouldn't be able to deal enough damage, making it completely worthless since your opponent would out-damage you every time. Icon types don't really matter when the damage output is this low, so even if it had the best icon types this would be useless. To makes things worse this weapon has fractioned icons, so it wouldn't even do the damage you'd think it does at first glance. Uniqueness(0/2): Sadly, most weapons tend to be rather underpowered or bland, be it because of lower than average icon count, easy to block icon types, or just oversaturation. This isn't the exception. Overall it's just your average underpowered, useless item. Nothing worth checking out here. Because of that its final rating is 0/10. I can't give a rating of 0 however, so it gets a shameful 1 instead. Rated on March 31, 2021 |
Rating: | Overview: Given out by a daily, this beginner's weapon has depreciated to the point where it usually costs 1np. The Good: Among the cheapest weapons in Neopia. If you're just starting out and want to spend 2np for 2 constants, then this is perfect. 5.3 to 8 icons too terribly bad either. The Bad: Realistically, no battler is going to keep this for long, when daily items like Scroll of Ultranova are dropping through the floor, and may soon reach the cost of 1np as well. The Ugly Truth: It may be worth using if you want to fight in a plot and for some reason only have 50np to your name. Otherwise, look to Scroll of Ultranova or Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer for a super-cheap-but-effective weapon. Rated on August 1, 2013 |
Rating: | Quintilc Throwing Star is not completely bad, considering that it is a prize from the Mysterious Negg Cave daily, but it is still inferior to a new Advent Calendar weapon, Festive Holiday Scroll. Festive Holiday Scroll deals Air, Light, and Physical, just like this weapon, but hits for 8 icons every time. Also, because it is an Advent Calendar weapon, it is incredibly cheap on the Shop Wizard. Other cheap 8 and 9 icon weapons like Scroll of Virtue and Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer are other alternatives to this throwing star. Simply put, skip using Quintlic Throwing Star and go straight to one of the weapons linked above. Rated on December 31, 2012 |
Rating: Rating History ▼ | Price/Power (1/5) Compared to the multitude of other weapons with higher damage output, this weapon just doesn't keep up. Countermeasures (1/5) Light and Air is slightly harder to block then some other types, but physical is pretty common to be blocked. Alternatives, Upgrades or Downgrades Upgrading to a Scroll of Knowledge or a Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer would be more then wise. Other Points (1 Bonus) It is a bird, a like giving bonus points to birds. Final Thoughts Birdwatching gets a whole new meaning when you are watching out for these. Rated on November 20, 2012.
