The price isn't horrible... nor is the power. But it also is nothing really special

Countermeasures (2/5)
The reason the Flask of Liquid Fire is so good is due to the huge bulk of fire, while this item is also not too common to block (Virtupets X-514 Super Shield does it pretty well) it doesnt have that same niche interest.

Just get a Flask of Liquid Fire or a Scroll of the Scholar
