Ratings - Ancient Hourglass
Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price (0/3): Smuggler's Cove item, an ancient one at that. Don't expect to be able to pay for one, if you're even to find it in the first place. Power (0/5): Unknown freezing, and 5 earth icons until then. Let's see... Shuriken gives you 14 attacking icons every turn until you freeze, with a 50% chance. Maractite Dimensional Trap does the same but also attacks in the turn that you freeze. For a 100% chance you have Freezing Potion giving 2 water icons, Magical Marbles of Mystery giving 3 physical icons, and of course Moehog Skull with 15 attacking icons. All of those are easier to get than this item, which the skull getting closer in rarity but oh so much better. Uniqueness (0/2): there's a fair amount of freezers that also attack nowadays. Overall this is gallery only. An old weapon that has been replaced with much, much better alternatives (Not that it was that good in the first place, coming from the smuggler cove in small quantities). Because of that its final rating is 0/10. I can't give a rating of 0 however, so it gets a shameful 1 instead. Rated on February 27, 2019 |
Rating: | Price/power (0/5): Extremely expensive, even for a freezer. Tactical (0/5): 100% is the maximum chance of freezing possible. The Magical Marbles of Mystery don't cost anywhere near as much as this hourglass. Bonus (1/1): Because I can't give it a 0. Closing remarks: Get the aforementioned marbles for a reliable freezer. Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) Providing damage with a heal is the general staple upgrade for a freezing item, however only when it is a 100% freezer. Since this may take a few shots to hit it just isn't worth your time, not even to mention the price. Countermeasures (0/5) When frozen you are frozen so nothing you can do, however here the idea that you are only doing 5 icons of damage per turn until you do freeze? Eh. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Ice Dice provides a small chance of multifreeze so is already better then this, you also always have the 100% freezer range such as the Freezing Potion... Realistically though the best upgrade you could have from this if you have the cash is the Moehog Skull which is the best freezer on neopets. Other Points (1 Bonus) Retired cove item Final Thoughts It sure is ancient, it came from a time when freezing was hard to do. Rated on May 26, 2013 |
