These items are newly limited, despite previously being unlimited:
UPDATE, ~4:30pm NST: Today's New Features update specifies that will definitely occur on Tuesday, June 30, but does not say at what time.
The Void Within prize shop may be changing very soon!
When the plot returned for its final episode, the official FAQ previewed two big changes to the prize shop after the plot concludes.
This FAQ says these changes will occur "after a 2 week grace period following the end of the plot" though does not mention a specific date or precise time. The final chapter ended on June 16, so it is likely to occur on or shortly after Tuesday, June 30.
Weapons Leaving the Prize Shop
First: these Battledome items will be removed from the Shop entirely.
New Limits on Collectible Items
Second: all "collectibles (stamps, charms, etc.), morphing potions, and paint brushes that aren't new plot items" will be changed to limit 1. The FAQ does not name specific items.

Some of those weapons aren’t that good. Can/would somebody please explain to me why a person would choose those over stronger weapons? Thank you

I'm happy with just the Thunder Sticks, Wand of the Dark Faerie and Grapes of Wrath. Don't really need/want the other battle dome weapons that will be leaving.
Think I'll spend my points mostly on rare books and stamps.

Do I need all the weapons? Not really. Did I grab them anyways in case they're good for the next plot? Absolutely.

This isn't two weeks from the end of the plot, that would of been next Tuesday not today, they never stick to what they say xD

@singing1633: Unless you don't count the epilogue, I suppose. That didn't have anything to do with the plot anyway, that was just mister disheveled having another round of visions, despite that not having been a plot-line for two years..
As to why you should get these weapons: Duh, to keep in your SDB forever and ever~! Collections, people!!
(But yeah, if you don't want the weapons, you don't need to get them ^^)

slightly unrelated note - to my surprise, our individual shop pages got converted to a new layout. (Did I miss an announcement about this?) Haven't had a chance to explore if there are any new features with this one...

I wonder why the last page (7) of the epilogue end with a grey "next" button. Thought after spending all of the points there might be a last goodbye, an "END" or "to be continued in 2030". But there is still this butto0n saying the TVW ist still incomlete.

@hotwheeles Sometimes a weapon can be situationally good for uber boss 1P challengers, especially since the epilogue hints that TNT wants to do another plot. For example, while Wand of the Dark Faerie technically outclasses Illusens Staff by doing more flat icons of damage and multi-healing more HP at a higher threshold, Illusens Staff was the only viable multi-healing option of the two against Malevolent Being, as the icon types were better against her. Specifically, Illusens Staff blocked and reflected her majority-dark-icon weapons.
That's why even if you have a cheaper Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife, you might still want to pick up its icon-swapped clone Extra Loud Techo Fanatic Megaphone. Because while they technically have the same effects, you might need one or the other depending on what icons your opponent uses in battle.
