The winners of this year's Costume Contest are now live! Congratulations goes to aquahime for their JubJub Auraliel dressed as Biblically accurate angel (Seraphim)! Make sure to check out all of the winners below, along with the prizes awarded to all those who entered and voted! (Trophies will be awarded later today.)
Festival of Fears Ending Today
Don't forget to go pick up all your trick-or-treat bags in this year's Festival of Fears event around Neopia. (This is the trick-or-treating event this year!) You have the opportunity to pick up free goodie bags until October 31st at 11:59 PM NST.
Also, the end of the Festival means the end of the bonuses on activities around the Haunted Woods! Notably, this is your last chance to get the recently released Esophagor avatar until next year's avatar. (There's still plenty of opportunity for cheap quests, despite how hard it may sound.)

(Okay please bear with me on this)
Oh my gosh, my Charmander got 10th place!!
I really want to express from the bottom of my heart how grateful I am for the support and/or votes Charmander received over these past three rounds. In all honesty, I had a lot of doubts going into this contest. I didn't think people would react too well to a sad (and possibly dying?) Charmander, and the entry would get eliminated after round 1 as a result. I even considered doing a happy Charmander instead for this reason. However, I convinced myself to enter the sad Charmander and see what happened. I worked on it for months, after all. So not only was I surprised that it got the praise that it did, but made it through all three rounds of the contest and placed in the top 15!
So really, thank you guys for supporting it and seeing it for what it was when I myself was clouded by my own harsh judgements.

Also congrats to all the other winners of this contest! I thought the top 30 this year was really good (I'm not just saying this because I was in it). Just about all of them nailed their entries and are well deserving of placing within the contest!
I'm especially happy that the Randy from A Christmas Story got a staff pick! I really liked that costume, and was surprised that nobody was talking about it even after it got eliminated.

Happy Halloween and congrats to all winners and participants! There were many amazing entries this year. I was very surprised (and pleased) my Valahia made it to the final round, I think it's my first time. No trophy, but she had a great run, thanks to everyone that voted for her! ^^

Congratulations to the winners <3 I’m grateful so many people put in the time, effort and love to create these costumes because voting is so much fun and really gave me something to look forward to. Thank you to all 495 of you! Also, thank you JN staff for hosting this contest and submitting your own creations as well!
Only choosing 3 was so difficult. I went with the Biblically accurate angel, “There’s something behind me isn’t there?” (meowclops with headless ghost behind him lol) —and then for the last choice, I had to give it some extra thought. But I kept coming back to sad Charmander.
@watmelmochi~ Never doubt your creativity! You have a lot of talent, your Charmander custom was so beautifully put together. I could tell every detail was well thought out. I actually loved the sadness of it, I think that’s why I kept coming back to it and gave him my vote! Also because the story ends so good, I feel like there’s this message of hope in it too. Overall, amazing job! Congrats on the trophy!
