Last year the Festival of Neggs introduced Neopia to the powerful Void Blade- a weapon which ended up being both highly sought after and expensive. So it is good then that this year also has a brand new Battledome weapon introduced during Neopia's grandest hunt.
Introducing the Water Whip! By far the most powerful whip item on the website; delivering a chunk of damage combined with a 50% fire reflect. While it likely won't be considered as powerful as the void blade from last year, it is good to see TNT experimenting with some mechanics that they haven't touched as often.

I wonder how this will affect Fire's viability? Until now, it's pretty much always been just defense icons to deal with Fire - % blockers were either one time use/once per battle or too expense to find anywhere, and reflectors have always been either fragile or over 2 million. But here comes a 50% dual duty that probably won't cost more than 300k!
Although, we don't really have that much 2P fighting to have any interesting shifts to notice...
Either way, it's a very cool design! And it's always fun to see weapons that play with unique mechanics more!

Water Powered Pistol, eat your heart out.
WPP is one of the highest-rated items on the site and the Water Whip laughs at it, powercreep is getting absurd.

Void blade became the new 1p weapon of choice (though it has recently left the easy-affordable range).
Y23 has followed up with a fantastic fire reflector. It's never really going to see much 1-player use outside of a plot boss that is heavy in fire, but it has a lot of potential for use in 2p battles where fire has historically been the hardest icon to block.
For those that are speculating for this to follow the price of the void blade, I would advise against putting all of your eggs in one basket. It has room to grow, but you'll find that the demand pool for this item is much smaller.

Glad to see FoN creating good weapons that aren't so horrendously busted that they completely ruin the mid level battling meta!
Seriously, I really hope Void Blade gets a nerf or massive price jump. I hate that thing so much.
