Initial look- Ever notice how this bomb looks like an eye and its 'Distributions' are a perfect triangle? All Seeing Eye anyone? Illuminati confirmed.

Offensive Power- 5/5- I remember when this weapon was first introduced; it was as just as good then as it is now. Packing the explosive power of two hard to defend icons and a third which, in and of itself, is pretty hard to completely stop means this bomb is no joke. Whether it's used at the beginning, middle or end of a battle is of no consequence; because whenever it is tossed into the fray havoc will be rekt, m8. Really there is only one better 'bomb', or should I say, 'Moehog Skull'?

Counters- Definitely hard to completely stop. Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield can limit the damage but, really, the only worthy line of defense against this is Thyoras Tear and its ilk but that relies on good timing and pure luck.

Alternatives- A couple years ago TNT came out with the Maractite Bomb. Although it is definitely weaker icon wise, it can still serve as a good alternative when it comes to putting down an unruly opponent. Get lucky using both simultaneously and you might even come away with a 60 icon combo.

Bonus- 1/1- It's 'Da ghostkerBomb' hardy, har, har. Get it? Oh never-mind; it was funnier in my head :(

Overall Rating- 10/10- If Bombing 101 was a class, this little firecracker would be the Valedictorian. When it comes to once per battle attack items, this is one weapon that can truly devastate your opponent and 100% live up to its description. Pretty radical stuff; there aren't too many battledome weapons you can say that about.

At a Glance (3/3):
Blast your opponent into oblivion with this bomb, dealing a whopping 10 icons of fire, earth, and 1-10 physical damage! And, of course, tossing it around during halloween will guarantee to be a big hit!

In-Depth (3/4):
The attack is a combination of a sheer volume of icons spread out across multiple elements. This makes shields like Faerie Tabard and Pirate Captains Hat quiver with fear and reflectors like Clawed Shield and Ultra Dual Shovel clamor with rage. You can never fully block this bomb, and that's what makes this feared as a tactical weapon.

The problem though is that like all bombs... you can only use it once. This means that while you will still do damage if your opponent has god-like intuition and uses the appropriate countermeasures when you use this, you will have lost the opportunity to use this bomb at its fullest. Getting the bomb blocked, and especially reflected, can be a real game changer. You will need to use this wisely!

Price (2/2):
This is the best bomb in the game, with Grapes of Wrath-esque power for only what? ~6-7m? That's pretty solid. Compare the aforementioned grapes' price of ~300m or so? Granted, one would probably get more use out of an extra anagram sword in their set such as Sword of Tawre and spend an extra 3-4m, but if you need that immediate power, this is it.

A relatively new alternative is Maractite Bomb, which is ~2x more expensive than this and boasts a different array of elements.

Bonus (1/1):
So glad you can only equip one of these. That'd be too op. Though, I would imagine that everyone wouldn't oppose havi...

Value 3/3: Most powerful bomb available (unless you count the Moehog Skull)and it sells for a reasonable price in the hidden tower.

Tactical 5/6: There's been a lot of low-tier icon inflation, but high-tier weapons still cap at 18-icon anagrams before they start to get *really* expensive. This is still a nice jump up from 18 average icons at 25.5 average icons. Even if your opponent does defend when you use this it still gets a decent number of icons through most high tier shields.

Other 1/1: Has nostalgic value for many battlers who have been around for a long time. It it goes the way of the g-sword via retirement it's price will jump.

Conclusion: If you want to make a bomb a part of your set, this should be it.

Ghostkerbomb is a weapon known by old-timers, newcomers, hardcore battlers, and casual battlers alike for good reason: this Hidden Tower weapon is the most powerful piece of equipment many battlers will ever own.

Ghostkerbomb sports a price tag very close to its Hidden Tower stock price, and it is one of the most commonly traded weapons on the market. Ghostkerbomb may only be used once per battle, but it deals a crushing blow - 10 Earth icons, 10 Fire icons, and two sets of .5 to 5 Physical icons. Additionally, only one Ghostkerbomb may be equipped.

The fact that Ghostkerbomb deals two sets of .5 to 5 Physical icons rather than a single set of 1 to 10 Physical icons is worth noting. If you have been browsing around iDB for a while, then you probably have a feel for how variable Physical icons tend to work. Since Ghostkerbomb has two independent sets of Physical icons, its hits tend to fall near the average of 25.5 icons. These independent sets of Physical icons mean that Ghostkerbomb will rarely hit for its max of 30 icons - only 1/100th of the time. At the same time, Ghostkerbomb will only hit for its minimum of 21 icons 1/100th of the time. Ghostkerbomb offers a nice amount of consistency; 80% of all hits will range from 23.0 to 27.0 icons.

Ghostkerbomb's average hit of 25.5 icons makes it one of the strongest weapons in the game available to players. The only weapons to offer stronger hits would be Seasonal Attack Pea and Super Attack Pea, both of which are far out of reach for most players. At a price between 7m and 7.5m, Ghostkerbomb represents the strongest attack available to most players, albeit just for one turn p...

Power: 5/5
If you think of a useful bomb you'll think of G-Bomb. The one and only one. Surprisingly cheap and packing a real big punch to finish off your enemy quickly. While the usefulness of bombs is debatable, this is the only one really worth considering.

Counters: 3/3
You'll usually use this while your opponent is frozen/disabled, so the counters aren't really all that important, however even for a normal turn the earth-fire combination is really hard to block and your opponent most certainly won't be able to block this in any sane way - watch out for (quite improbable) A Shovel combos, though.

Uniqueness: 1/1
Mass earth and fire in the same weapon is hard to come by unless you have the budget for Grapes of Wrath and this really is the high end of bombs unless you consider Moehog Skull.

Bonus: 1/1
I love finishing off enemies before they can hurt me too much and this is an essential part of it.

Price/Power (4/5)
Currently the most powerful bomb on neopets, and has been so for a long time now. While the usefulness of this bomb has been steadily dropping as the average attack icon number has been raising, it still stands strong as a great way to chop down a little bit of extra HP when needed.

Countermeasures (4/5)
A bomb is normally done after a freeze so to make sure the attack does the most damage possible, so countering it is a bit of a difficult proposition. If you were to have the chance it may be hard, as fire is hard to block, especially in a combo with earth. This blast if done well timed can cause some serious damage.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Downgrade wise, Honey Potion or a single use bomb such as the cheap Shooting Star Muffin may be the way to go. Upgrade wise we would be hard pressed to find something better right now, unless you want it to freeze too like a Moehog Skull.

Other Points (No Bonus)

Final Thoughts
I was never the biggest fan of bombs, but this one has been a staple for the longest time and looks damn awesome to boot.

Also known as G-Bomb. Also known as the Throw-Boom-ARGH!! thingy, because the point of this is pretty simple: Eliminate opponent quickly.

Effective in both freeze-bomb situations and normal round, its only flaw is its extreme vulnerability to faerie ability, burrow, especially when you consider that burrow can be obtained by a low leveled 10 pet and the release of a mere four faeries from their glassy prison.

Quintessential mid to high level battling, it takes a bit of effort to obtain, but once used, no shy :D
