Ratings - Cloudy Wand of Storms
Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) A weak dual duty with nothing really going for it. Countermeasures (0/5) This is about half the level of a more modern weapon, so using this is likely the same as having a better weapon get blocked by half. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Just get a Flask of Liquid Fire for fire, or grab the new crazy powerful Void Blade Other Points Final Thoughts Most storms scare me- this one? I'd sooner be afraid of a pistachio. Rated on April 30, 2021 |
Rating: | Overview: So this is a good beginner's dual-duty, but the fractional icons make it a little too weak to be viable as a main weapon in the L97 tournaments, where it would most likely see use. The Good: Earth icons are everywhere. The ability to block earth while dealing icons really gives this weapon a nice leg up. If you can correctly guess your opponent using earth, then the effective icons of this weapon go up to 10.2. As long as you've got a good second weapon to back this up, then you can negate (or almost negate) some otherwise decent L97 10-11 iconers, such as Barbat Throwing Star, Fungus Ray, or Garoo Elite Blaster. The Bad: 7.2 icons is just too weak to be viable anywhere but in low leagues. If this did at least 8 or 9 icons, it'd be much better, but the lower attack hurts this quite a bit. The Ugly Truth: Situationally this is pretty useful, but it's probably easier to overpower your opponent then plan for when this will give you an edge. If you have an extra slot in your lineup, it might be worth grabbing one of these to help against the occasional low-icon earth weapon. Rated on September 27, 2013 |
