Ratings - Purple Scorchstone

Rating: | Power (0/4): All healers not called Leaded Elemental Vial are immediately a hard pass when considering them for your roster. However, this weapon having a 2P niche makes it more important than your average obsolete healer. Price (2/4): Recently it got partially mass released, which made it affordable again! Other (2/2): This item is THE face of League 54 which, in my opinion, gives it Battledome Heritage⢠points. The overheal allows you to time your healing turn in a way where you could still end up with full health after taking the damage from that turn, unlike its non-overhealing brethren in Greater Healing Scroll or Helm of Recovery. Maintaining an HP lead is one of the cornerstones of 2P battling, which makes this item ubiquitous and better than LEV or Rejuvenating Jar of Brains which technically heal more, but without the overheal. Alternatives: Cursed Elixir if a 20 HP drain sounds like a big number relative to your strength/HP. Leaded Elemental Vial otherwise. Rated on August 31, 2025 |

Rating: | Price/Power (2/5) The advantage to a scorchstone is the fact it can overheal, however at this cost/power level there is little reason to use this. It still however provides a step before the next huge leap in price scorchstone wise.. Countermeasures (0/5) 50hp isn't much, maybe it is for lower level battling but realistically for the price you could easily get something else, unless you are in the small minority of users which would find this useful. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Realistically, the price difference means that a Green Scorchstone would be better, but frankly unless you are in the minority, you could get by on a Greater Healing Scroll or Rejuvenating Jar of Brains just as easily. Upgrades you have the Rainbow Scorchstone or Glittery Scorchstone Other Points (1 Bonus) Just because I'm nice. Final Thoughts I have never been a fan of scorchstones, but at least they look mighty fine. Rated on July 3, 2013 |
