Ratings - Parachuting First Aid kit
Rating: | My initial thoughts on this item were -Wow, this is too good to be true!-, briefly followed by -This has to be a candidate for a nerf, right?- However, at the time of this review being written there has been absolutely zero indication that this item will be nerfed & as such this remains one of the absolute best value battledome items currently available on Neopets. Breakdown: This item is straight forward, it heals your pet 33% of its max HP once per battle. What's even more amazing is that there is absolutely no cap, no fine print, or no other requirements to be meant. This means that whether your pet has 100 hp, or 10,000 hp; this will heal 33% of your pet's MAX hp once per battle. Simply put, it gets better as your pet gets stronger (more hp)! The cherry on top - at the time of this review being written you can score one of these for just around 200k! The next non-species upgrade from this healer would be the Bag of Healing Dust, which currently ranges from 6-7 million nps. Hmm, 200k for a 33% max hp healer vs. 6-7 million for a 50% max hp healer? No brainer if you ask me. Quick Recap: Heals 33% of your pet's MAX hp once per battle. Doesn't require you to change your pet into a certain species to use. Only costs 200k at the time of this review being written. Gets better as your pet gains more hp. Conclusion: There are very few battledome weapons/items on Neopets that truly deserve a perfect 10 out of 10 rating, however this is one of the few that does. The power to price ratio is undeniably off the charts. For the time being, this is a truly elite battledome item that most Neopians can afford without breaking the bank. It is truly a... ▼ Read More ▼ |
Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price (3/3): Now that a bit of time has passed I can say the price for this is still worth it. given that the conditions are right. Power (4/5): Said conditions being that you don't have a pet that has its own species healer. Species healers are abundant and dirt cheap nowadays, and heal 17% more HP than this healer does. However, if your pet doesn't have a species healer, then the closest thing to this would be items like bag of healing dust which are way too expensive in comparison. If that's the case then this is a must have until you can upgrade. Uniqueness (1/2): Percentage healers aren't that unusual. Not being species restricted is a plus, and being an unusual amount that is more than halfway decent definitely makes up for it in my book. Overall it is a great healer, but you should check to make sure your pet doesn't have its own exclusive species healer first. Because of that its final rating is 8/10. Rated on October 31, 2019 |
Rating: Rating History ▼ | Price/Power (1/5) Price wise? Not great. Power wise? Not as great as SOUP. 33% may not sound much to someone who has a lower hp pet, but for certain pets this may be a massive boon. This is of particular use to lab rats- as the owners may not have the money to shell out for the more expensive percentage healers like a Bag of Healing Dust or Leaded Elemental Vial even if they do have loads of hp. Countermeasures (3/5) A large bulk hp burst right at the correct time can make a huge difference. 33% is nothing to cough at either. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Get the Feel Better Soup instead. This is basically a huge upgrade from the Velms Healing Potion and a great stepping stone for the above mentioned items. All I would suggest is that if you have a lab rat, perhaps check to see if you can purchase a less costly species percentage healer for your current pet combo. Other Points Final Thoughts Still not rock bottom, slightly better than the species restricted Kacheek Life Potion but nothing in comparison to soup. Rated on October 29, 2019. Rating: | This is a very useful weapon. It fills a fairly important role. For people who either have lab pets or have trained diligently, it might be the best healer available to them. At some point you will seriously want to plunk the neopoints down to upgrade to a 50% or full healer, or even use a species accordingly, but this could belong in many sets where the hitpoints are >150, and there's not enough budget for every day battling for a Jade or something. This should also gradually appreciate at least somewhat. Rated on October 27, 2019. Updated February 2, 2023 |
Rating: | I can't remember the last time a new weapon excited me quite as much as this did when it dropped (pun intended). After all this time, there's finally a cheap species-agnostic percentage healing item that heals enough to be useful (sorry, fans of Velms Healing Potion). The price of this item is important enough that I'm going to mention it first: at the time of writing, this is easily obtainable for under 100k (actually under 80k), and it doesn't appear to be inflating. This is an insanely good price for the effect. For a long time, for pets with ever-growing HP totals, there was a big awkward gap between the relatively cheap Greater Healing Scroll/Rejuvenating Jar of Brains and the multi-million neopoint Bag of Healing Dust. The gap could be somewhat filled by Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic or Crisp Blue Tunic, but these were also worth millions of neopoints and still didn't grow in effectiveness with their wielder. Eventually, we got Potion of Healing. For some, it fills the gap, but while it's much cheaper than a Bag of Healing Dust, it still has a multi-million neopoint price tag, and that 300 HP limit, while generous, still means it technically doesn't grow with its user forever. Now, enter the Kit. For an affordable price, you can heal 33% of your maximum HP, no matter how high that is. Once your pet reaches around 150 HP, this weapon starts to eclipse the viable static HP healers. At about 183 HP, you'll need to pay millions for something more effective... or you can just stick with this literally forever, because it'll heal you by 33% whether you've got 300 HP or 3000 H... ▼ Read More ▼ |
