Ratings - Blazing Embers
Rating: | This weapon will have two ratings, but it'll be different from the usual format I have. The ratings depend of if you have the weapon or not, since this is a no-trade weapon that was obtained from a past plot. The final rating will be an average of those two. Also, since this weapon and Sword of Malum are identical, both will receive the same review. If you own it: Price (3/3): It didn't cost a single neopoint to get, and you only had follow and do the event to get it. as such there's no way I can't give this a perfect rating. Power (5/5): It does between 16.38 and 21.6 icons spread between 4 types, at least 2 of which are easy to block, but what matters is the amount. It deals almost the same amount of icons as an anagram sword. In 1p the icon types don't matter, so this will basically a free anagram sword. In 2p this become less useful, being able to have partially blocked. Faerie Tabard and Ghostkershield bring it down to 8 to 9 icons, while Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield brings it down to 6 to 7 icons, but even then, most of the blocking icons of those shields are used up by this weapon while it still sends some through, and on top of that your opponent would be using one of their two slots, so I can't really take any points for that. Uniqueness(2/2): A weapon like this is insane, dealing so many icons, and being handed so easily through an event, and the no-trade makes sure that unless you got it from the event, you won't be able to get it ever (unless TNT decides to re-release it and change its property, like it happened with The Mystical Tablet). Overall this is th... ▼ Read More ▼ |
Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) This item is crazy powerful for the fact it was gotten for FREE. However, it is no longer obtainable unless you were participating in the plot actively. This means that while it is amazing, unless you already own one you can't use this item. Countermeasures (5/5) This is an insane number of icons for a free item. It is just as powerful as an anagram sword but with a split icon type... Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Honestly, this is pretty top of class for a free item. Some items like the over the top Grapes of Wrath naturally beat it and you may get an item with some sort of additional effect or defense that matches up well but as it stands this item is crazy powerful. Other Points Final Thoughts One of the reasons I avoided reviewing items like this for so long after release is that I thought surely they would have to be nerfed. I suppose the fact they are no-trade means at least people are limited with their use, if you own one it is very much worth using... if you don't well, sorry. Rated on May 23, 2018 |
