Ratings - Scamander Shield
Rating: | Price/Power (2/5) Very cheap, but only 8 icons. It isn't horrible by any stretch but it may be worth just skipping and waiting til you can get a better shield. Countermeasures (2/5) Given the increased popularity of the brightvale scrolls this could be worth using Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades A Wanderers Cloak is the way to go for high spread blocking Other Points Final Thoughts Not great, but also not horrible. Rating: | Price/power (4/5): Raw power is pretty decent for the price, considering how expensive defense is these days. It costs next to nothing, unlike most beginner shields. Tactical (1/5): The catch is that you're only blocking 2 icons of each type. As such, your defense will be lacking when faced with 9-iconers. While this could be useful a pet with high defense, it's also unlikely that such a pet would be using a beginner's shield. It's like a precursor to the full armours, coming to think of it. Bonus (0/1): Not quite as useless as the Scamander Blade, but still pretty bad. Closing remarks: Beginners are better off with defense that has more depth instead. Notably, however, the icon combination seen here is very rare and isn't found in any other shield at this level. I suggest saving up for a Leaf Shield instead. Rated on September 30, 2013 |
