Ratings - Nebula Force Field Generator
Price/Power (3/5)
Cheap enough, does a low level of blocking for some different icons... Realistically, I am not sure I see it as being strong enough vs modern weapons.

Countermeasures (3/5)
It can cut some serious damage away from a few items such as the Fan of Swords or Magic Gridlock Gun- but not enough to completely break the attacks. Not horrible though.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
A more focused version of the Tower Shield level of item.

This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use.

Price(0/3): While the price isn't outrageous, it's still too much for what this item does. If the price was lower this might be more useful, but as it is it'd be a waste to buy it.
Power(3/5): The amount of defence this shield has is fairly good, but not good enough. A shield usually requires to have more icons than the average damage dealer, and hopefully have a big icon type variety. However, while the icon type combination is pretty useful against certain weapons, the icon amount isn't high enough, so it'd still be better to use a multiuse weapon instead. To put it in perspective, at BEST, if all icons were blocked, with the average amount of icons a weapon has nowadays you'd still come out at a loss by 1 or 2 icons.
Uniqueness(0/2): Most shields tend to defend icons in such low amounts that it's not worth it to use them over any weapon. While this one has good icon types, it doesn't break through my minimum requirements for a shield nowadays.

Overall, while it's not that bad, I can't really recommend this item. If the issues stated above were solved somehow then this would be acceptable enough, but as it is, you might as well look elsewhere. Because of that its final rating is 3/10.

Rating History ▼
Price/power (4/5): 12 icons is pretty much the standard for low- to mid-level shields, but this particular one is slightly pricier than similar shields due to reasons discussed below. As of the time of writing, this is actually buyable!

Tactical (3/5): This does offer protection against some relatively uncommon weapons, such as Psellias Fighting Fan and the Wand of Reality, and although it's likely to block something, it really doesn't counter a whole lot of weapons. That being said, this particular combination is unique at the time of writing (there isn't even an equivalent full armour), so it probably won't become cheap for quite a while. It'll take even longer if TNT releases a viable weapon that can be fully blocked by this shield.

Bonus (1/1): It's always good to see more full armour-like shields.

Closing remarks: There isn't really a reason to use this right now, though that may change in the future, due to how the icon types are arranged like a full armour. Meanwhile, check out the Solar Flare Shield, Shiny Shoal Shell Shield, Studded Leather Cuirass, and Sophies Magic Hat.
