Rating: | Price/Power (3/5) Fairly equal to the Silver Minitheus Helm, same price, same power, decentl. Countermeasures (2/5) Rare combination to both block and deal- may be better with a little additional spread. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Besides the Silver Minitheus Helm - you could also upgrade to a Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield or even a basic Leaf Shield. Rating: | At the time of this review Fitted Velvet Cloak is a fairly new release. At R97, expect this weapon to be easily searchable on the Shop Wizard in due time. Fitted Velvet Cloak sports 5 icons of Water defense and 5 icons of Air defense. This defensive combination is rare; only Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield and Kaylas Magic Cloak can also make that claim. Although Fitted Velvet Cloak provides a decent amount of resistance against both Water and Air icons, its poor total defense hurts its usability. 10 total icons of defense is just enough to be worthwhile. (Remember, even beginner-level offensive weaponry can inflict 9+ icons; defensive weaponry has to at the very least match this number.) Fitted Velvet Cloak can be placed in a category with Earthen Scorchstone. These weapons are only useful in select situations. Other low cost shields like Leaf Shield and Sophies Magic Hat are better fit for general use, but shields like Fitted Velvet Cloak that sport unique defensive alignments have their niches.
