Ratings - Red Velvet Cloak
Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) 6 icons by default, with some additional under the circumstances listed. I don't really think it is worth it though; Countermeasures (0/5) An asterisk on an item is rarely a good thing. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades There really aren't too many options for blocking fire- something like a Frozen Cyodrake Shield would work well as an upgrade. Other Points Final Thoughts May be better as a clothing item rather than something you take into battle. I suppose it would help deal with the 'rust' stains though. Rated on April 30, 2021 |
Rating: | Red Velvet Cloak is a low-cost R96 Brightvale Armoury item. This weapon can provide up to 11 icons of defense for pets with 500+ intelligence. Without the intelligence requirement met, Red Velvet Cloak will only provide 6 icons of defense; clearly this item is only a legitimate option for pets with 500+ intelligence. This requirement is awfully steep; pets that already have 500+ intelligence can utilize this weapon, but it is hardly worth boosting intelligence to 500 solely for this shield. Fire defense can be hard to come by on a low budget, so Red Velvet Cloak does serve as a solid option for already intelligent pets. Red Velvet Cloak offers better coverage than the similarly-cheap Flaming Oven Gloves, but neither weapon is particularly useful at stopping any other icon type but Fire. A modest 11 icons of defense with 5 of the icons being Fire is just enough to make this shield worth consideration for low-budget battlers. The 500+ intelligence requirement hurts Red Velvet Cloak's usefulness, but for pets with the requirement already met this cloak is a reasonable option. Just don't go out of your way for this weapon. Pets with low intelligence and a low budget will be better off going with a Fire-blocking Dual Duty like Elegant Desert Sword, Snowager Sword, or Scarab Ring. Rated on July 17, 2013 |
