Rating: | Overview: The Turned Tooth is a modern classic of a weapon. When it was released, it pretty much became the midgame. A weapon of this power being sold at this low of a price was unheard of! Although recently, the standards for early and midgame weaponry has risen even more rapidly than normal, the Turned Tooth in turn has found a way to catch up. Accessibility: 4/4 As a result of being a daily prize from the Quest Log, this already cheap weapon became even more affordable, now dipping into early game levels, where nowadays it fits right in. Viability: 4/5 13 is the standard for early game weapons, and this deals that at the very minimum. But if you're lucky, you can also hit anywhere between 15 and 22(!!!) icons in one attack! While its inconsistency is stopping me from giving this a perfect 5, don't get it mistaken; this is still incredible. Alternatives: The Omelette Sceptre and Void Needle are the other early game weapons I'd consider good. You can later upgrade this to the Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife, which doesn't hit at this weapon's peak, but is more consistent and has some Earth block as a bonus. Bonus points: None provided. Rating: | Power (2/4): 13 icons as a minimum is the golden standard for the current icon economy when recommending weapons to new battlers, and that's the bare minimum for this weapon! More often than not, Turned Tooth will be hitting harder than that, but its unreliability may be detrimental in some cases. Price (4/4): At the time of writing, this weapon is buyable and has a somewhat steady supply in the Shop Wizard. For what it's worth (pun absolutely intended), it is a bargain! Other (1/2): The icon probability distribution for this weapon allows battlers to get away with big swings for a fraction of the price. This comes with the risk of sometimes missing that one or two icons which could mean anything from having to spend an extra turn to losing the fight. Depending on how comfortably you're willing to assume that risk, this weapon might be for you! Alternatives: Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife and Bowling Ball of Lost Cities are, at the time of writing, the closest alternatives to Turned Tooth both in power and price if what you're looking for is consistency. Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price (2/3): Magic Gridlock Gun, Tyrannian Sceptre, Yooyu Knuckle Duster, and Turned Tooth are the staple for relatively cheap constant attackers and their prices are usually good and affortable for someone that's been saving up for a week or so. You should always choose whichever's cheapest at the moment. If you're just starting and need a strong weapon you should only buy this or the weapons above if they're at an acceptable price range (Around 100-200k). Otherwise it's better to get The Power of Friendship for a stable and cheap 13 iconer instead. Power (5/5): 14 or so icons is the bare minimum nowadays for a GOOD weapon. for 1p icon types don't matter much so as long as you get enough icons you'll be able to do intermediate level battling just fine. 2p is a completely different story but most people don't focus on that, and if you're doing 2p you're usually doing either high level battling where these weapons won't be enough, or one of the respective leagues that have their own restrictions. Unlike the other weapons listed on the price section, however, this one does anywhere between 13 an 22 icons, which may make it look much better in comparison. Just keep in mind you'll usually get an average of 15 or so icons, so the difference is not that great. Uniqueness (2/2): This weapon sits between the 14-15 icon average that is basically a must in today's battledome. Rating: | Price/Power (5/5) This item is an insane value. It offers a high end attack for a stupidly low rarity. The turned tooth is yet another candidate for a rarity increase just because of how insane its power is. The peak damage of this item is almost as high as an anagram sword- that should say something. Countermeasures (4/5) Earth and physical are both very common icons. Earth may be blocked due to its role in many high end items, while physical may find itself challenged because almost everything uses physical and the Altadorian Swordbreaker exists. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades As I said this is similar to an anagram sword. Alternatives wise you could get the Sword of Thare, Upgrades wise a better anagram such as a Sword of Ari or Sword of Reif. Other Points Final Thoughts I expect this to be downgraded. Likely rarity again, but who knows. It isn't as insane as Shuriken, but it is still much more powerful then its rarity suggests. Perhaps a high 90s rarity would be more suitable.
