Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price(0/3): Way, way more expensive than it's worth. You could easily buy way more useful battledome items with the amount of neopoints this one costs. Power(0/5): The amount of icons this weapon does is too low for today's battledome while it barely defends against any icons, defeating the purpose of a dual duty. It'd be better to focus on either attack or defence instead of splitting total icons like this. On top of that, this is a species restricted weapon, so even if it was good you'd need to have the respective neopet to use it.. Uniqueness(0/2): Dual duties should compromise a bit of attacking power for extra defence or the other way around. This, like many others, is just underpowered. Most species restricted weapons are like this, sadly. Overall It's what you expect from a species restricted weapon. Only the healers and freezers are really worth it. Rating: | With the Charity Corner event in December 2015, the Neopets team provided Neopia's newest species with its very first species weapon. Weapon releases have grown more infrequent over the last few years, especially species weapons, and with the recent shrinking of the Neopets staff, Lucky Vandagyre Feather may hold the special distinction of being the last species weapon ever released. The Lucky Vandagyre Feather features nice art but inferior power. This species weapon follows the general rule of species weapons: (Almost) all species weapons are bad. Three offensive icons and a sprinkling of six defensive icons will never cut it in the modern Battledome metagame. Gallery weapon? Yes. Battle weapon? Absolutely not. Rated on March 23, 2015 |

Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) 9 total icons for a species restricted dual duty? Please no. Countermeasures (0/5) Physical is easy to block and those icon numbers simply aren't large enough to make a difference. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Anything? Just because Vandagyres have an item now doesn't mean they should ever use them. Other Points I gave a bonus for it being an event prize, but that is all. Rating: | Price/power (0/5): Way too expensive for what it does. Not that it does a whole lot, mind you. Tactical (0/5): Attack is terrible and defense isn't nearly strong enough to compensate. Bonus (1/1): Yay for Vandagyres? Closing remarks: Like way too many species weapons, this one isn't worth using. The source of the item could potentially mean that it'll be worth a lot of NP a couple of years down the road, but that's just speculation really.
