Price/power (4/5): This is much cheaper than its competitors when it comes to low-level healers, but as a single use healer, it's a terrible deal compared to the Lucky Robots Foot.

Tactical (3/5): The biggest problem is that you'll outgrow it quickly. 35 HP isn't a whole lot, and just because healers are expensive these days doesn't mean you'll be able to make do with a weak one. After a certain point (which is reached all too easily), this becomes a waste of a slot.

Bonus (1/1): It's good to see a cheap healer on the market again. I remember a time when the Lesser Healing Scroll cost about as much, and the Greater Healing Scroll was easily affordable.

Closing remarks: The closest upgrade is the Greater Healing Scroll, unless you have a species healer that happens to be cheap and effective.

Overview: Cool art for a nice beginner's healer? I'm loving it!

The Good: Well besides the cool art, which I'm a total sucker for, there's the fact that this heals 35 hp. 35hp is plenty for beginners and L53 format. I'd definitely start with this over the Lesser Healing Scroll. The fact that TNT gave this away for people solving the desert mystery is awesome.

The Bad: A 35hp healer is outgrown fairly quickly. Even for beginners, a few months is enough time to train to the point where the Oasis Tonic simply isn't viable, and options like Greater Healing Scroll, Helm of Recovery, or Rejuvenating Jar of Brains become much better healer candidates.

The Ugly Truth: I felt this should have a higher rating than Lesser Healing Scroll so I've given it a 7. The Oasis Tonic is definitely a solid beginner's weapon, but like all low-hp healers, it will be outgrown fairly quickly.

At a Glance (1/3):
Pop open the cork to receive 35 hp of pure magic from the life-saving water of an oasis. Which oasis, you ask? No idea. Certainly not the one that just sprung up next to your computer. No sir!

In-Depth (2/4):
This item is only 5 hp away from having the same effective strength of Cursed Elixir, since the elixir takes 20 hp from the opponent and gives it to the user, healing them for 20. This makes for a rather excellent newbie healer alternative, focusing more on helping the user rather than punishing the opponent, but do be aware that the 5 hp difference may be the difference between a win and a loss in a battle.

Price (2/2):
You would think that water from an oasis in the middle of the desert would sell for a pretty penny, but it, in fact, doesn't, costing only a mere 7.5k! The aforementioned elixir currently costs ~30k or so, so it definitely wins the price test in my book.

Bonus (1/1):
It's interesting that it can heal for 100 hp instead of 35 when you're fighting in french. Could be useful to sneak in an extra powerful healing spike, but that would mean you both lose the item and the respect of your opponent!

Another thought: I wonder if it was originally meant to be a single use, powerful healer... Good choice by TNT to make it once per battle instead! At least, to me it is.

Price/Power (3/5)
Currently this item stands at around 10k, and while the price may fluctuate it has been placed at a semi decent place. While I do wish it would offer 5, maybe 10 more hp- it is better then most anything else on the market at this price.

Countermeasures (3/5)
35 HP isn't much, given how tiny of an amount of training that would make this item pointless... however as previously mentioned it does fill a niche- at least for now

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
This is a direct upgrade for the Lesser Healing Scroll. Once upon a time the Greater Healing Scroll was cheap enough that this item would have been only rated a 1-2... now... That is rather depressing. But either way, as it stands right now this is a respectable choice.

Final Thoughts
I wish I didn't have to rate this as highly as I did.
