Ratings - Sun and Moon Chakram
Price/Power (3/5)
10 icons is on the cusp of being useful, factor in the knowledge that it is a pretty decent price and that you most likely received one for free and that is even better.

Countermeasures (2/5)
The bulk icons make it hard to block even with two pretty easy to block icon types. Some items such as the Dark Faerie Cloud Racer Helmet may take a chunk out of this, but it lasts pretty well. Even if it comes across a full blocker such as a Parasol of Unfortunate Demise it still has the other half of damage left to back it up.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
When it comes to bulk hard to block icon types you cant go wrong with a Flask of Liquid Fire. The Flask of Liquid Light also works. If you want to replace and break up that pesky light it can be hard to find something with a similar level of dark burst, however the Energy Blaster breaks up the darkness very well with fire.

Other Points (1 Bonus)
Encouraging more prizes and stuff.

Final Thoughts
This item isn't horrible. It isn't great either, but if you want to use bulk light/dark attacks this does work a treat.

At a Glance (1/3):
This brilliant chakram combines the power of the moon and the sun, striking 5 light and dark icons of damage to your opponent!

In-Depth (2/4):
This is like many other beginner weaponry, like Wraith Scroll and Scuzzys Comb, that feature a lot of icons for 2 elements. This not only makes it difficult for shields at this level to fully block, but for reflectors to be effective against it.

For instance, consider Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield and Sophies Magic Hat. While the nox shield is superb at light defense (in addition to defense in general), it can ironically do nothing to stop dark, making it not a good choice against this weapon 1-on-1. Same thing with the magic hat and light, only the problem is further exasperated since the hat fails to even completely repel darkness (it defends 3 out of the 5 from the chakram).

The best way to deal with dual-type weaponry is by using dual-duty weapons, such as Mask of Coltzan for darkness and Jhudoras Bewitched Ring for light. There are quite a few more dual-duty counters against the chakram, making it relatively easy to punish. But, it is excellent at getting around your opponent's shields and reflectors.

Price (2/2):
Considering that it's going for ~1.8k, this would be an incredibly economic weapon to add to your set, or to start with if you're a beginner! Even more so than the famed Scroll of Knowledge and the cheaper Scroll of the Scholar!

Too bad for Ramtors Spellbook, which does the EXACT same thing, except costs several times more because it's a Neoquest II award.

Bonus (1/1):

Overview: Being the cheapest dual-type 10-icon weapon out there, the Chakram is the best thing for budget battlers since the Scroll of Ultranova or the Parasol of Unfortunate Demise.

The Good: First, this is getting cheaper by the minute because everyone is logging in to claim their Games Master Challenge prizes. Only time will tell how cheap it gets. 10 icons or so is common now in the Battledome. What's not common is the dual type. With the budget scrolls such as Scroll of the Fool or Scroll of the Wise, you have to split the icons between 4 icon types (5 with the Scroll of Knowledge) meaning that if your opponent whips out a dual duty or shield, you're almost guaranteed to get at least partially blocked. With a dual-type, you're much less likely to have your icons blocked.

The Bad: With the Spyder Stone Necklace roaring around in L97, you won't really be able to use this in a tournament.

The Ugly Truth: With the Sun and Moon Chakram being so cheap, there's no reason any pet should be without it. Sure, any set needs some diversity, but having one or two of these in a beginner's set would be perfect. I rarely give a weapon a rating of 10, but with these icons for such a cheap price, I feel the Sun and Moon Chakram deserves it.

Price/power (4/5): We finally have it: a cheap weapon that not only deals 10 solid icons, but is difficult to fully block. However, the price is still fluctuating a bit and as of the time of writing, it's 13k on the SSW, making it quite a bit pricier than other 10-iconers.

Tactical (5/5): This is a direct step up from the now-obsolete Scroll of Dark Nova. What sets this one apart from the Scroll of Ultranova, Scroll of the Wise, Scroll of the Fool, etc. is the fact that this has only 2 icon types, with a whopping 5 icons in each. No shield at this level can fully block it. Most shields block around 3 icons, with specialized ones such as the Parasol of Unfortunate Demise blocking 5. Shields that cover both icon types here, such as the Mystical White Cloak and the Nebula Force Field Generator, block 6 out of the 10.

Bonus (0/1): Icon inflation is just insane these days. Remember Ramtors Spellbook?

Closing remarks: When I first started, only the rich could afford weapons that dealt more than 6 icons. These days 10-iconers cost less than what the 6-iconers once did.
