Rating: | At a Glance (1/3): This fanciful attire will shield the wearer from 5 icons of fire and 3 icons of earth and physical. In-Depth (2/4): This offers a defense spread likened to Faerie Tabard, minus the water and air defense. At first glance, this attire would appear to only grant you major fire protection, and it does. But this is useful in that it takes out a good chunk out of many intermediate constants such as Ylanas Blaster, Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting, Rusty Pitchfork, Throwing Nachos, {{Altadorian Cup Throwing Star}}, Bow of Destiny and Garoo Elite Blaster. It's extremely ineffective against Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy and Stone Foam Finger though, and those weapons are more prevalent than the ones listed. Price (1/2): Nifty, as it may questionably be, its estimated 350k price tag makes it rather ironically unattractive to use. Best left for galleries and fancy dinner parties. Bonus (1/1): This is one of a handful of noteworthy shields that block 5 fire damage, alongside the aforementioned tabard, pirate captains hat, shield of faerieland, Golden Garfir Helm, and Flaming Oven Gloves. Rating: | Price/Power (1/5) Too expensive with too little icons to really be worth it price to power wise... Countermeasures (3/5) Fire? Awesome to block. Physical? Also pretty great to block due to how common it is. Earth? Not horrible. Pretty good combo all up. Cuts down the Brynns Legendary Sword of Wraith Smiting and the Ylanas Blaster very effectively. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades This is a mini Faerie Tabard really... So that would be a good upgrade! The Sophies Magic Hat may provide a good alternative too. Other Points (1 Bonus) Retired plot prize, good collectors item. Final Thoughts Surprisingly "Okay" compared to the other prizes. Rated on April 29, 2013 |
