Rating: | Price/Power (1/5) The price is slowly dropping down and 8 icons is far from terrible. The problem is there are other "better" items to use instead. Countermeasures (1/5) It uses a good deal of bulk water- problem is that water is one of the most commonly used bulk icon types thanks to the {{Dr Sloths Personal Bath Buddy}} and Kelpbeards Trident and you may find your icons blocked without them trying. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades It still can't really hold a candle to other multiuse items such as the Flask of Liquid Fire. Other Points (1 bonus) Final Thoughts Rated on June 27, 2015 |

Rating: | At a Glance (0/3): Slash at your opponent with this aesthetically-infused sword, dealing 8 icons of total damage! Not too shabby for a pinch-hitter. In-Depth (0/4): Despite its good looks, it falls short of the 10-11 icon standard. It will be easily outdamaged, plus, it is vulnerable to many dual duties, most notably Oversized Maractite Rune Sword and Scarab Ring. Price (0/2): A bunch of better weapons can be obtained for 40k, such as Sun and Moon Chakram (the item that the icon standard is set at), Ancient Gnarled Wand, Cursed Elixir, etc etc. Bonus (1/1): This was one of my many 500k set cap weapons of choice a few years back (back when 10 icons costed 120k+). As long as I didn't encounter something like Leaf Shield, the 8 icon offense was decent enough for the format. I'd usually combo it with Rusty Cleaver. Good times... Rating: | Price/power (0/5): Very overpriced for only 8 icons. Tactical (3/5): Having 5 water icons usually means that shields will be overwhelmed... unless it's the common Leaf Shield. Oh, and don't forget that the Shiny Shoal Shell Shield will reduce this to 2 icons, while classic weapons such as the Scarab Ring will come out on top. Finally, as an 8-iconer, it won't do well against 9-iconers. Bonus (1/1): At least this isn't weak like other "decorative" weapons... Closing remarks: Look at the Pike Pike if you want more than the standard 3 icons in each type. If you'd rather not pay extra for that, there's the Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer, Throwing Cutlass, among others. Rated on February 27, 2013 |
