Ratings - Fiery Battle Duck
Rating: | Price/Power (0/5) Fire is a really good icon type for 2p- but 10 icons for an unbuyable price is a big no no in my book. Countermeasures (2/5) Bulk fire is really good and while the small amount of fire could be damaged or broken by items such as the Scarab Ring, {{Flaming Over Gloves}} or {{Wanders Cloak}} it still has its uses. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Likely the only reason you are using this item is because you need it for 2p. If that is the case then you should really just go for the more powerful and cheaper Flask of Liquid Fire. Other Points (1 Bonus) Duck bonus! Final Thoughts This duck would have a very difficult time if it decided to go to the nearby lake. I wonder if it swims in lava instead? Rated on March 28, 2015 |
Rating: | Note: This review, like all my others, is geared towards non-L97 battlers. Price/power (0/5): Extremely expensive for a mere 10 icons. Once upon a time, it would have been a bargain. Tactical (2/5): Having only two icon types here means that you're likely to have at least some of them go through. At this level, it's likely to be 5-6 at least. But if your opponent has more damaging weapons, you'll fall short. Bonus (1/1): Battle Ducks are an important part of Battledome history. Closing remarks: The only Battle Duck you should be using is Dr. Sloths Personal Bath Buddy. Save up for that, or at least get yourself a Scroll of Knowledge. Rated on July 31, 2014 |
Rating: | At a Glance (1/3): 10 icons of pure revenge, erm, I mean, damage. 5 of fire and light. In-Depth (3/4): This weapon is a "dual-elemental" weapon, as I like to call it, where it deals enough fire/light damage to potentially overcome shields, while not enough of each to be properly reflected. This type of weaponry is a bit more challenging to block because you can easily stack the two elements with other dual-elemental weapons, such as Ring of the Sway and Solar Burrito. Price (0/2): It's a pretty pricey little duck... going for ~400-500k I think? The price isn't really worth it when there are other 10-iconers to choose from at 1/4th of the price. Bonus (1/1): This would be interesting to use in the League 97 format, but a rather common defense, Faerie Tabard+Stocking Full of Coal, could hinder strategies involving fire/light... Still, keep your wits about you, and you can turn that weakness into a strength. Final Score: 5/10 Rated on September 30, 2013 |
