Ratings - Battle Faerie Dual Swords
Rating: | Price/Power (1/5) If this item was a lot cheaper and had an extra icon or two it would be great- but as it stands it is an expensive (but pretty) waste of time. Countermeasures (1/5) Can be broken at least in part by several decent shields like the Solar Flare Shield, Lair Beast Tooth Shield or Wanderers Cloak. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Scroll of Ultranova and Scroll of the Fool are just two other items I would suggest before this Other Points Final Thoughts Close, but no burning away your money for nothing Rated on August 12, 2014 |
Rating: | Overview: Though the exact icon combination is hard to cheaply block, these Dual Swords can be easily overpowered. The Good: The best shields against this are Solar Flare Shield and Faerie Tabard, which are both rather expensive compared to the Swords, and would not be seen at the level of play these would be at. The Bad: There's no tournament where these would currently shine, so any newer player could just overpower the swords with a Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer or Scroll of Ultranova. The Ugly Truth: They look kinda cool, but I'm not seeing how the dual swords would fit very well into a lineup. Rated on July 8, 2014 |
Rating: | Price/power (0/5): Ridiculously overpriced for what it does. This doesn't even do 9 icons, let alone the number you'd expect at this price. Tactical (2/5): Scarab Ring reduces this to 2 icons and comes out ahead. Shiny Shoal Shell Shield and Studded Leather Cuirass both reduce this to 3 icons. 8 icons in total is doable for beginners, but this isn't priced like a beginner weapon. Bonus (0/1): Blade of the Battle Faerie isn't very powerful either. Seriously, is the Battle Faerie really as powerful as she claims? Closing remarks: Get yourself a 9-iconer for less than 1/200th of the price. This may have been useful once, but those days are long gone. Rated on December 9, 2012 |
