This rating is to intentionally tank the average score for this healer, as it is a downgrade from the more affordable Feel Better Soup (50% healing plus 100% air defense). This healer should not be considered unless it ever becomes cheaper than Feel Better Soup.

Price/Power (0/5)
This used to be an amazing weapon, but with the new bulk release of the Leaded Elemental Vial it will never be again. Even if it ever does manage to raise again, the Feel Better Soup will still win due to added air blocking and more supply.

Countermeasures (0/5)
You can't really counter a heal, just delay it. That makes this a very powerful thing to own... unless you live in the modern day when a 50% healer itself is a liability when compared to the 100% healer that at the time of writing crashed down to under 100k.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Leaded Elemental Vial. There used to be more to this, but now it is just that. The only alternatives I can give is a Cursed Elixir or Blue Scorchstone if you have under like 30hp.

Final Thoughts
The king has fallen- long live the new king.
The new king has also fallen, this relic remains.

Overview: If you've trained to over 200hp, there really are no cheaper viable healing options other than species-specific healers.

The Good: The awesome part about 50% health regeneration is that it only gets better at time. If you buy this now and train continuously for the next year, this healer will still be just as good as it was the day you bought. You can't say that about a set-amount healer like Greater Healing Scroll or Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic, which become less useful as you train. For the serious battler, this should definitely be on the list for upgrades once it can be afforded, as really the only regular-healer step up from this is a full healer like {{Leaded Elemental Via}} or Jade Scorchstone.

The Bad: As with other good healers, this commands a hefty price tag. Unfortunately, for the big jump up in price from the Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic, it is still only half as good as full healers. (It is actually exactly half as good. Haha.) This makes it less than half as useful because it doesn't essentially "restart" the battle as far as HP is concerned, like a {{Leaded Elemental Via}} can. Also, with the existence of species-specific healers like Gelert Healing Remedy, Kacheek Life Potion, and Elephante Unguent, the species of the pet really needs to be considered. If you can find a customization you like of a pet species with a healer, you might considering morphing your battling pet to that species, as even with a morph and elaborate custom, it would still probably be cheaper than buying a Bag of Healing Dust.

The Ugly Truth: Any serious high-HP battler will nee...

Bag of Healing Dust is an all-species Healer that restores 50% of the users maximum HP. Elephante Unguent and Gelert Healing Remedy are much cheaper options that have the exact same effect as Bag of Healing Dust, but I am fully supportive of battlers battling with whatever species they want. Everyone has their own reasons for the species of Neopet they battle with, whether it be for cheap Freezers or Healers, preferable resistances, or the fact that they just like a certain pet. This means that for many battlers, Bag of Healing Dust is the best option short of Leaded Elemental Vial.

Once a pet reaches triple digit Health Points, Greater Healing Scroll or the lesser Scorchstones are no longer solid options. After exceeding roughly 150HP, Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic and Rainbow Scorchstone also fall out of favor. Crisp Blue Tunic presents an interesting option for pets between 100HP and 200HP, but ultimately any battler training their pet will eventually hit a point where a 50% or Full Healer becomes a necessary upgrade.

Thanks in part to the availability of cheap species healers, Bag of Healing Dust is significantly less costly than Leaded Elemental Vial. Possessing a Full Healer like Leaded Elemental Vial is a massive upgrade over 50% Healers, but at the same time Bag of Healing Dust is a massive upgrade over Greater Healing Scroll for a high-HP pet.

I recommend Bag of Healing Dust to pets that have outgrown Greater Healing Scroll or Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic but do not have a solid species healer option. Leaded Elemental Vial is the obvious upgrade to Bag of Hea...
