This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use.

Price (1/3): It's a price worthy of one of the best freezers in the game, but with the introduction of Thunder Sticks this price became a bit more unreasonable.

Power (5/5): Alright, let's analyse everything. this weapon does 100% freezing. That's already great, then add 15 icons of damage with 10 of them being a hard to block icon type. That's amazing, since 15 icons is still considered good on regular weapons, so you're dealing 100% freezing and dealing average icon damage, then add on those 10 defending icons you got an obscene powerhouse. Only way this could be better is if it healed, but honestly I'm glad it doesn't since it'd probably take up a healer slot, and that'd be bad. Now, with the introduction of Thunder Sticks we now have a freezer that can deal 1 more icon of damage and does full physical blocking. It's a direct upgrade, but in all honesty it doesn't take anything away from this in terms of power.

Uniqueness (2/2): 100% freezer dealing a big attack and defence AND being a skull weapon? Yes please. This and Thunder Sticks are the only weapons in their class, so always get whichever's cheaper.

Overall even though its throne has been taken this is still the second best freezer in the game. It saddens me that the first spot isn't a skull weapon anymore, but I try my best to leave my bias behind. Because of that its final rating is 9/10.

Overview: This freezer/attacker/defender is easily one of the best weapons in the game. If you're looking at picking up a Moehog Skull, you probably already have a great set to complement it.

The Good: This weapon is by far the best freezer in all Neopia. It's almost a combination of The Death Knell and Heavy Blue Tunic with some added power. Besides Death Knell, which isn't a 100% freezer, freezers are almost always a wasted turn. The Moehog Skull gives you a full-power turn, and will usually beat Hidden Tower weapons like Sword of Skardsen, Skarls Hasty Mace, and Sword of Tawre. That being said, the Skull will probably be in play against big-time weaponry. Luckily, it comes out only four icons behind Grapes of Wrath and 12 icons behind the iconic Super Attack Pea. Considering you'll have an extra turn to throw down some damage, these few icons can easily be made up.

The Bad: I'm knocking off a single point for cost. This thing is prohibitively expensive, which keeps it out of reach for most Neopians. Of course the sets that this would be a part of could hover up near a billion Neopoints. I think that in big pet battles, where thousands of hp need to be removed from another pet, having a single turn negated while losing the slot may not be worth it. An extra defense, offense, reflecting, or trick weapon may be worth much more when a 15-turn battle takes place.

The Ugly Truth: My feelings on this weapon are conflicted. In short or low-league battles, the Moehog Skull is the weapon to rule them all. In the types of sets that the Skull would be present in, it might not be u...

Power: 5/5
The most powerful 100% freezer almost resembling more of a bomb than a freezer - no arguing about power here.

Counters: 2/3
Here goes the downside - while this is by far the best OPB freezer, the question is whether it really deserves a slot in your set. Now there's two ways you could potentially use it: either for noobinating in lower leagues or in actual elite battling.

For noobinating this is absolutely awesome of course packing a whopping 15 icon offense with your freezer and even some defense.
In elite battling however you might want to rethink whether it's really worth going with this or whether you'd fare better with a multi-use freezer like Ice Dice, Slumberberry Potion or Sword of Lameness or even just go with another anagram sword or such.

Uniqueness: 1/1
Triple Duty anyone? Offense, defense and 100% freezing is certainly nothing you'll find anywhere else.

Bonus: 0/1
I really don't see it as as awesome as it appears on first sight.

Price/Power (5/5)
Without a doubt the best freezer in the game. This item is one of the amazing few that is both abnormally powerful but isn't retired like a cove item. This item combines the awesome freezing ability with unparalleled power and is just amazing.

Countermeasures (5/5)
If your opponent is using this, not only will you get hit with a 100% freeze but also a significant level of damage and defense. This means that even if it does get held back with something like lens flare, you can not stop the carnage this weapon will bring in a later turn.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Edit: The recently released Shuriken item provides a perfect step down to this weapon. It does nearly as much damage but only has a 50% chance of working. Overall though the tiny pricetag makes Moehog Skull levels of freezing available to the masses for the first time

Any 100% freezer is most likely cheaper then this, the H4000 Helmet for example, but that is a huge downgrade. Alternatively, in some situations of super high HP you may find more use in a Sword of Lameness then this, however the reliability in the carnage this causes is unmatched.

Other Points (No Bonus)

Final Thoughts
Very expensive, but oh so worth it.

According to the Neopian Times editorial, Moehog Skull is winnable from ANY Haunted Woods scratchcard. Whether you want to believe this claim is up to you, but one thing that remains certain is that Moehog Skull is an incredibly rare prize.

Moehog Skull's price tag may be based more on its extreme rarity than on its power, but its power is not to be underestimated. Moehog Skull is the most powerful 100% freezer in the game.

Most players with a 100% freezer use a 100% freezer like Freezing Potion or Heavy Blue Tunic. These are nice freezers, and some 100% freezers like these two offer a few icons of offense or defense as a nice bonus. But Moehog Skull is a whole other ballgame. In addition to a 100% freeze, Moehog Skull inflicts 15 icons of offense while also offering up to 10 icons of potential defense. At 25 total icons, no other 100% freezer comes close to matching Moehog Skull. For comparison, Sleep Ray is the second strongest 100% freezer at 4 icons of offense, and Heavy Blue Tunic is the next best defensive freezer at 9 icons of potential defense.

Typically, using a 100% freezer means sacrificing some ability to attack or defend. With Moehog Skull, this cost is lessened by a wide margin. The 15 icons of offense feature 10 Air icons, which can be very tricky to block. In a round where two battler cancel out each others freezes, chances are the Moehog Skull user will come out ahead. No other 100% freezer comes close to the power of Moehog Skull.

The real question that needs to be asked in regards to Moehog Skull is when it is an appropriate purchase. At a price in the hundreds of millions, the answ...
