Rating: | Overview: Though one of the most powerful overhealers in the game, the Glittery Scorchstone comes with a big price tag. The Good: 100hp as overheal is pretty powerful. If a low-league pet hopes to make it though big challengers, overheal of this magnitude can be a huge advantage. A 30hp pet can take a one-turn beating over three times it's max HP and still escape unscathed. The Bad: The price on these is currently higher than a Jade Scorchstone or Leaded Elemental Vial, so a pet really needs to be in the perfect candidate to make the Glittery Scorchstone viable. Unfortunately, since L97 bans their use, the pool of good candidates is relatively The Ugly Truth: If you can afford an ultimate low-league weapon like this, then expect to have some serious fun. Unless you've got the neopoints to spare, a better option would probably be to pick up a full healer and spend the rest of your neopoints on offensive weaponry. Rated on April 30, 2014 |

Rating: | Price/Power (2/5) While in theory a 100hp overheal would be really handy in practice it has it's limitations. The price of this weapon makes it essentially unobtainable by any normal Neopian and while it is the best of its kind, if you have such a low HP count chances are you can't afford this healer. While it is good for league-breaking combat for most users the power/price is unreasonable. Countermeasures (3/5) This has the ability to seriously overheal a pet if you can get one. In combat this ability can really make the difference and push you ahead in 1p combat. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Realistically, a Greater Healing Scroll is normally fine for most lower level pets without the overheal, it wont take long for this weapon to be outdated in your set and more reasonably replaced with a Bag of Healing Dust. Other Points (No Bonus) Final Thoughts While it may be the best of it's class, the class is unreachable. Rating: | Glittery Scorchstone is the ultimate healer for smaller pets. All healing Scorchstones are overhealers, meaning they will always heal to their full ability, regardless of how much HP the user has lost. This means that if a pet has 50/100HP and it uses Glittery Scorchstone, it will have 150/100HP, allowing the pet to take up to 50 damage that turn and still come out at the end of the turn with 100/100HP. For this reason, Glittery Scorchstone and even Rainbow Scorchstone to a slightly lesser extent function like a healer and a Thyoras Tear in one in low league 2-Player fights. At lower leagues like L4 and L5, pets do not have the strength to inflict the sort of damage necessary to overcome Glittery Scorchstone's heal. A low league battler with a Glittery Scorchstone or Rainbow Scorchstone gains a huge edge over their opponent. For pets with a double-digit number of HP, or even in the lower one-hundreds, Glittery Scorchstone is the indisputably best healer available. However, the price tag will keep it out of reach from most battlers. Rainbow Scorchstone is a bit weaker, but also much less costly. Purple Scorchstone heals half as much as Glittery, but is affordable to even more battlers than Rainbow Scorchstone. Greater Healing Scroll and Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic do not overheal, but will be the more common options for small-pet healers for battlers without overflowing amounts of Neopoints.
