L97 Weapon Listing

Listed on this page are 100+ weapons that are potentially useful for the League 97 format. This list should not be deemed as comprehensive, but this page does list the strong majority of weapons that might be considered useful in the L97 format. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are among the rarest L97 format-legal items and may be exceedingly difficult to find. The weapons on this page have been placed into groups for better organization.

Offense

Although the L97 format allows offensive weaponry up to 12.0 icons, only one such weapon, Meukas Snot Trail, meets the limit exactly. Two other weapons, Geraptiku Attack Leaf and Staff of Righteous Fury, can occasionally hit for a max of 12.0 icons. Because of the scarcity of 12-icon weapons, 10 and 11-icon weapons are the norm in the L97 format. The offensive weapons here have been divided into groups based on the number of icon types they possess.

Shields

Faerie Tabard is by far the most widely-used shield in the L97 format, but other defensive options exist. Shield diversity is less widespread than other weapon families in the L97 format thanks to a plentiful selection of Dual Duties and reflectors.

Healers

Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic, Leaded Elemental Vial, and Cursed Elixir are generally considered to be the elite healers in the L97 format. Rejuvenating Jar of Brains would be the budget-healer for L97. Although Cursed Elixir is listed here, this healer is meant to be a supplement to the other healers. Cursed Elixir will only be a surprise if used sparingly, meaning it is important to have an alternative healer to switch around between fights!

Offensive Dual Duties

Dual Duty choices in the L97 format are almost as abundant as offensive weaponry. Dual Duties in this list deal at least 7.5 icons of offense; check the next table for more defense-oriented Dual Duties!

Offensive Dual Duties

Defensive Dual Duties

These Dual Duties average less than 7.5 icons, meaning most of them are more focused on defending. These Dual Duties are more difficult to use than the Dual Duties listed above, as they rely more on what the opponent is using.

Reflectors

Reflectors can be a huge gamble, but if timed correctly they can change the tide of a battle, even in a format like L97 where iconage is reduced. Pay close attention to Fire reflectors like Clawed Shield, as reflectors are the best way to defend against the popular Portable Kiln.
